Well it does balance out in the end, clinical or fluke, he's the main reason, Ronaldo will watch yhe final on TV.

I guess his hattrick in the Pokal final last year was also a "fluke" seeing as 999 times out of 1000 oh wait....
He had a poor game in front of goal today but let's not pretend like he's sh1t and incapable of scoring ffs

Dude Have you seen his finishing? It takes him 10 clear cut chances to convert 1 or 2

Nobody has a problem with saying he's class or a great striker, he is. He's a decent finisher too.
But people saying he's clinical

Some of y'all really need to pick up a dictionary.
Also,
who is clutching at the Ronaldo straws at this point. When in doubt start pointing the finger at other players.
Clinical finishers are those who will punish you with the one chance they get. I really don't want to say anything more because this thread has cause me enough stress (it has also made me lose faith in humanity all over again).
P.S. Another quick laugh out loud at those who think 2 brilliant games make Lewandowski a clinical finisher.

Agree with you on ronaldo. What does he even have to do with this thread? Hate is pathetic
But I disagree on lewa not being clinical, his stats speak for himself, one bad game vs madrid does not change that
And 2 brillant games? Do you watch him play? He's had more then that..

Brilliant player, but even scoring 9 goals doesn't eradicate the memory of all the missed sitters over the past 3 seasons. Let it rest.
We can debate whether his other qualities make up for it (I think they do, he's a brilliant forward), but pointing at one piece of anecdotal evidence and calling it statistical proof is utterly moronic.
Lewandowski is great, and his footballing brain makes him score loads. But if you want to see clinical, go watch a Gomez highlight reel. And if Lewa was someone who'd always his chances as good as he did against Real, he'd have dethroned RVP two seasons back.
I can't hear you guys over the sound of how right I am. Lewa is still brilliant, but he isn't a poacher, and he isn'T a great finisher. Give it a rest and accept that I'm always right.

Statistics are pretty flawed. Statistics tell me that Mario Gomez has a 34% conversion rate in all competitions in 2012/2013, so does that make him very clinical? Nope.
I agree with VivaStPauli - I've watched a lot of Bundesliga matches over the past 4 seasons and I must say that Lewandowski is not as prolific/clinical/great of a finisher that some people make him out to be. Every dog has its day (referring to the 4 goals v R. Madrid).

That is one of the reasons I mentioned Ronaldo - not to mention that his name (along with Messi's) was mentioned earlier in this thread.
white_star wrote:So since you guys will continue to talk shit here you go.
Stats that are available to all haters online
(cl + league only)
Lewandowski - 33 goals - 36 appearances - 3.4 shots per game
Ronaldo - 43 goals - 39 appearances - 6.9 shots per game
Messi - 51 goals - 36 appearances - 4.8 shots per game
Lewa almost a goal a game and only takes 3-4 shots a game while it takes Ronaldo 7 shots a game while 1.10 goals a game so.....
^ The main reason I brought up Ronaldo
I do watch Dortmund play quite a bit and while he has had more than two brilliant games, I am only responding to a handful of posters. While he has had more, people who watch Lewandowski play on the regular will tell you that he is not clinical.
Statistics are cute and all but they often do not tell the whole story. Lewandowski may only take 3.4 shots per game, but those shots are not guaranteed to be the same shots Ronaldo will take. Anyway, I do not have it in me to explain this to the uneducated folk on this forum (wiser people have tried and failed already, so I will pass on that opportunity...)

Re: Robert Lewandowski (Former Borussia Dortmund #9)
I hope we don't use this match to claim Lewandowski is not clinical after watching Higgy, Ronaldo, Ozil and company miss so many sitters and 1v1 situations.
Where as Lewandowski made challenges out of nothing and atleast managed to hit the post etc.

Re: Robert Lewandowski (Former Borussia Dortmund #9)
People who understand logic will use his career blueprint when coming to a conclusion. Also, please explain to me why other people missing sitters or chances have anything to do with Lewandowski being clinical or not.
P.S. How many chances did Lewa have before only managing to hit the post? It should also be mentioned that hitting the post is considered an off target shot.
I can only hope that I am able to keep myself from posting in this thread again.

Yes I have seen his finishing and he does miss quite a few good chances making him not clinical but the facts are he scores goals and important ones.
And I will give you a £1000 if you can show me one single match where he misses 10 clear cut chances before scoring one or two goals lol
By your maths this season he should of had over 350 clear cut chances to get to the amount of goals he's on lmao

Where is Lewandowski going ?
His back to the goal play and link up play is amazing. I have to say he surprised me with his performance although his finishing is not upto mark.Which team you can see Lewandowski going and which teams can use him?
I think Chelsea,Bayern,Madrid all can use him although wenger said that he is off to Bayern
it will be funny if BVB sell 2 of their best players to Bayern.

Re: Robert Lewandowski (Former Borussia Dortmund #9)
Bayern in 2014/15 for free, Dortmund aren't selling him this season - unless another team comes in with an offer. They've been offering all over Europe just to avoid him going to Bayern.

Re: Robert Lewandowski (Former Borussia Dortmund #9)
Heynckes said in his post game interview: "We expect Lewandowski here soon." I think they are going to wait until after the German cup and then announce him to Bayern.

Either to Bayern overpriced now, or on a Bosman next summer. They don't need him though.
