Bonucci: Five more years of Juve…
Leonardo Bonucci has expressed his satisfaction after signing a new contract with Italian giants Juventus.
The international defender extended his deal with the Old Lady this week until June 2017 – despite his previous agreement having another three years to run on it.
“It’s an indescribable joy which I am feeling,” the former Inter and Bari man wrote on his personal website.
“This shirt for which I have wept, rejoiced and spent days angered as a child after a loss is now mine – even more so after my renewal.
“I’m proud and honoured that I will be able to wear this glorious jersey for at least another five years,” he added.
“I want to specifically thank those who have always believed in me, from the President to the Coach, from the directors to my teammates.
“I also want to thank the fans from my heart for supporting me and sometimes criticising me which helped me to grow.”
Bonucci joined Juventus in the summer of 2010 for €15m after a sensational campaign in Serie A with Bari.
The 24-year-old has scored one goal in 24 League games so far this term for the Bianconeri.

shame...
we could use the money comitted to his 5 year contract to help pay for a top level player
not a smart move by the management

I really hate your comments...
I've seen you talk about Juve should sign Hummels...
I've watched Dortmund a few times this season & I'm not impressed...
People tend to only highlight the bad of Bonucci...Did you know that he made the most interceptions, clearance & passes completed last match [vs Napoli]???
You act as if the man is doomed & can not improve...
You have to remember that football is easily talked about than done on the field

Re: Bonucci: Five more years of Juve…
1) Bonucci may be a decent defender but he IS very error prone. VERY error prone. His mistakes have cost us 3 points on more than one occasion.
2) He is NOT a guarenteed starter for us. Infact, once Caceras settles, i have a suspicion that he will be the 3rd choice CB over Bonucci. And when Magnusson matures, he will be ahead of Bonucci too.
3) we have several players who's contract expires before/around bonucci's
Buffon 2013
Barzagli 2013
Chiellini 2013
Marchisio 2014
Lich 2015
Vidal 2016
Now - can you honestly tell me that Bonucci, whos current contract runs until 2015 is the first person who deserves renewal of his contract??? out of all those listed???
Plus - at 20,000 euros a week, the club has just commited to and extra 2 million wages for Bonucci. When we had absolute NO reason to. Hes dont nothing to prove he deserves another 2 year extension on a contract that had 3 years left to run.
Thats why Ive said "Shame.... not a smart move"
And as for your "I really hate your comments" comment - Grow up.

Re: Bonucci: Five more years of Juve…
hopefully he gets better by then, but honestly this guy is a beast offensively off corners. May be a good move, may be a bad move, not really a big deal as it seems to be made here, not like his wages are ridiculous and he could always be sold if things go bad.

Re: Bonucci: Five more years of Juve…
sure beast offensively but at time, a real liability DEFENSIVELY
Im not saying get rid of him
Im saying, why extend his contract when we dont have to??
Its not like we would lose him next year if we didnt
If he improves significantly next season, then sure, offer him a new contract as a reward to improved performances.
Frankly, I dont see a huge improvement from last season to this season (and infact - have seen him cost us games) to justify an unnecessary contract extension
