Re: Brazil National Team
Who didn't have a good night against us on the Brazil side?
They used no lube. Not a drop. We kinda deserved it for such a timid, insipid display.

At least Coutinho was too. But Rafinha though
Dunga should have gone all out and selected Douglas from Barça as well.
Anyways, what a clown.
Edmilson (temporary assistant BRA): "Rafinha has surprised us. He's committed, young, very promising. He'll be called up again." [cope]

Re: Brazil National Team
It's always difficult when you see mediocre players in the national team. I'm gonna support them while they're there and wish them the best but at the same time you know that if they do well in a meaningless game it increases their chance to play a part in games that matter.
So no, not mad. Just conflicted.

Re: Brazil National Team
Nah, there's really no one else and it's not that random since he's the leading scorer in the Brasileirao. He was originally left out but was called to replace Firmino who got hurt yesterday.
Anyways, I really really hope at least one of the Gabriels can solve our problem in that area.

Re: Brazil National Team
@elitedam you're telling me in the whole of brazil, and brazilian players playing in eastern europe there are no better youthful attackers. the attacker doesn't have to be world class, just a brazilian that can put the ball in the back of the net and isn't 34/35. my take is, calling up ricardo is a short term fix, dunga can use this as a chance to give some unearthed forward a shot, build up for the next world cup in about 3 years....its hard to believe there's no semi-decent young brazilian forward. he doesn't have to be the next big thing. i wonder how pato's fairing? may have been a case of too much too soon

Brazilian football is in shambles right now. Let alone super talents, there are not even hyped youngsters.

Nope, the last CB spot went to Gil (the one that plays for Corinthians; not GL legend). Thiago Silva is also missing because it's much easier to scapegoat one player as opposed to admitting the entire team played awful.
Pato was being discussed in the media as a possible option but I don't know how Dunga rates him.

What's the point in calling up some Siberian league scrub though? Yeah, it's short term but he's the top scorer here so let him warm the bench and give Dunga a different tactical option. We have some good up and coming forwards in Gabriel from Santos and Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras but they might be too raw right now. They're only 19 and 18 respectively.

There is no need to get overly dramatic now.
It's not what it used to be but it's definitely not in shambles and we have plenty of hyped young players right now. It seems that lately they've been getting a lot more opportunities for their clubs. I don't know if it's because it's a really good generation or if the coaches have wised up and stopped trying so hard to play broken down thirty plus year olds. We'll see though.

Hopefully Dunga will be gone after we lose to Argentina.
And he can take Marcelo, Alves, D. Luiz, Elias, Jefferson, Willian, and a few other scrubs with him.

I'll never forgive Oscar for this performance tonight. NEVER.
He ruined EVERY attack he got near.

Brazil is just not a great team anymore. It has to work hard like every other team to succeed. Dunga is probably the best thing for this team. A more expansive manager would probably cause huge embarrassments like the Germany game in the WC.

With Willian's current form. He should be starting, too.

Actually not an awful team at all. If they would stop clowning around by calling up the likes of Kaka instead of Coutinho.

They just keep shooting themselves in the foot .
The four wide players should be : Willian , Lucas ,Neymar , D costa .
The two AMs should be : Felipe Anderson , Coutinho .

That seems a bit too attacking. IMO Gustavo-Fernandinho in the middle with Willian in the side provides good sled dogging attributes while Costa, Coutinho, Neymar provide the creative spark.
I don't know about Lucas. Last season he was great in the first half of the season but I've heard he has fallen off these days?

Re: Brazil National Team
I wouldn't start Marcelo, tbh. I'd much rather have Filipe Luis there, to balance out the attack with defence. Otherwise both Alves and Marcelo will bomb forward and the defence will be exposed a lot.

That wasn't a starting 11 , just the players that should be in the squad as a whole .
Dunga should also consider Alan , probably the only good brazilian CM at the moment .
Lucas was a bit out of form earlier this season , but he's slowly getting back to his usual standard if the last few games are any indication .

I'm not really in the mood to insult our players or coaches tonight after what happened in France. I hope all our GL French brethren and their families are safe.

It's been over a year since the WC and it's still a disjointed team with no chemistry hoping for an individual moment of brilliance.
