Fred is a very good complimentary player... not one of those guys who demands that ball and has a big ego, which is rare in a CF. He's there for the team and does his job. Too bad he was such a partyer when he was at Lyon. Could have had a great career. But better late than never.

Congrats to Brazil. Very nice progress by the players. Only small complaint is the thug play here and there... but hopefully that goes away once the young players realize that it's unnecessary. It's not to Brazil's advantage to set that kind of tone imo.

Goats are Neymar, Silva, Fred and Alves in this competition. I feel like Hulk is doing a great job... but somehow, the last ball is not quite there. Great work rate by him though. A bit disappointed in Marcelo and Oscar. Don't want to comment on Luiz because he's the thug out there. Sooner or later, someone's going retaliate. I just hope it's against him and not one of his teammates.

Yeah Luiz is a thug , but sometimes that is important in a defense.

about the nasty challenges, me and everyone else in Brazil agree.Funny enough Neymar and Oscar are the players that foul the most. The atmosphere really got into the players' head.Hopefully that will change in the WC after they get more experience.

That's what i figured and i hope it stays calm on the pitch for the confed cup. You don't need any incidents on the footy pitch with everything else that's going on... i have to commend Balo for keeping his cool. I thought he was going to go crazy for sure Laughing

Two offside goals and a Neymar dive to defeat Italy.

Not impressed at all. So much help for the Brazilians. Probably scared of more riots...

Go home, butthurt whiners. Brazil dominated Italy. TWO offside goals lol? Why are you ignoring Italy's non-existent corner?

actually it's not just this game Ganso. You have Luiz taking shots at people every game. Neymar, as great as he is, diving and being stupid every game. Gustavo was a thug in the other games, but much better today... at least he was tough, but mostly clean.

It's just not Brazil. I fell in love with this team as a kid because they forced a beautiful style of play on everyone.

Now i understand that you need toughness. But there's a line. Cross it once in a while... ok. It happens. But this is consistent in every game in the tournament. It look planned tbh.

Cesar:"Scolari asks us to stop counter attacks with fouls"

Yes it is all planned, but i dont think its as disgraceful as you are saying. Its bad, but not something ridiculous.Im fine with it tbh, as long as we dont try to injure other players.

The real problem is Neymar with his diving.

It's anti-football Ganso. And Cesar making that statement is pretty dumb because now the refs are going to see it as planned and nail Brazil with a yellow card every time.

if you intentionally foul a player with the intent of breaking up a counter attack it's an auto yellow.

Brazil is better than this. They should try and stop the play and only resort to a foul if they aren't able to stop it. Fouling as a first option is frankly completely against everything Brazilian football stands for imo.

And i'm telling you, there's going to be retaliation. Confed Cup is not that important for European teams so they take it pretty calmly... but come the WC, Brazil stars are going to get cracked with this nonsense and rightly so.

Thats your opinion and its perfectly fine, but I really dont think we are playing antifootball at all.We basically make more tactical fouls than we have ever made and we have 2 players who decide to play as thugs, its somethings that happens, specially in SA teams.

Not many surprises here.. all of them played in the Confederation Cup, except for the one surprise which is PSG leftback, Maxwell.. lol

Who would have you called-up for the Switzerland game?? I'm sure Maxwell wouldn't be within ur plans..right? lol

Shame on Scolari for not watching Liverpool's pre season friendlies against teams from Thailand !

Besides Brazil are stacked with quality in that position.

My question marks would be Maxwell and Jean, both shouldn't be there IMO.

Maxwell has actually been surprisingly solid at PSG. I didn't rate him at all for a bit. But he did well defensively and brought it on the attack.

I think Jean is just a favorite.. the few times he has played, he's faired better than Rafael of Man United or any other rightback not named Dani Alves..

We're not deep at Leftback, so I guess he's giving Maxwell a run out.. but I still don't think he's good enough to warrant a call-up tbh.

Yea, but I don't think he's anything more than decent to good.. I'm sure Felipe Luis is a better option.. or some domestic player like Carlinhos.

Maxwell stands out, have to say.

Felipe Luis is so much better its untrue.

Also Alex Sandro is better now and for the future..but I missed Porto's 3 preseason games, I dont know how he had been playing or if hes even injury free.
