^ Mata was Praised enough last season. Ur acting really salty here. Santi is a newcomer to the league and he is lighting it uo. He deserves the attention and praise he is currently getting

Awesome player! Fantastic signing.
If he can score goals like that he needs to be a bit more selfish and try for goal more often.

I'm sure if the like of Gotze, Reus, Pipita, were playing there they would be all of sudden more rated. they are but they will be so much more ( even overrated)
I like Santi btw
I get annoyed by that as well...
Aguero, Santi, Mata, Torres(before),Silva etc seems like not every good player in la liga played for Barca/Madrid like some on this forum have implied before...

On topic, didnt watch the game but Cazorla what a player

Re: Santi Cazorla - Europe's Best All-Round Midfielder
So basically...... Mata feasts on Norwich he is GOAT and Silva and Cazorla feast on West Ham and Sunderland respectively they are mere flat track bullys
Also Mata run the show is ridiculous he did'nt run shit, Arsenal had more of possession and more chances.
Chelsea was clinical but that wasn't dominant, outside of set pieces they created hardly anything.
Also the reason people are hyping Cazorla is because he's new to the league, people were doing the same with Mata and Silva last year, Ben Arfa towards the end of last season and Hazard at the beginning of this season.
Get over it ffs.

2. Bore off. Cazorla got shut down by Mikel while Mata ran the show in that game. Not even a debate. That was by far Santi's worst performance so far this season.
lol Mata was in Gibbs pocket all game. Stop re writing history mate

We had more of the ball until the last 20 minutes when we were playing on the counter. Watch the game again you weapon. Even if you're going to be a Neanderthal about this we had 49% of the ball in their own backyard, that's simply outstanding.
Of course Arsenal had more chances they were playing at home. This current Chelsea side is still trying to change their philosophy and style of play now that Didier's gone while Arsenal are a settled team.
Why dismiss the set pieces btw?
And no Mata definitely did not get the amount of praise Cazorla has been getting this year. Nowhere near close and you know it!
No praise for Giroud who was just as good on the night or THEOOOOOOOOOOO who changed the game. "Wenger unearthed a gem" *cringe*
Can't wait till Mikel locks him up again.

He went missing against Chelsea. Locked up by Mikel.
He's awesome against midtable dross though.
Jesus, for a guy with Fernando Torres in his signature you would think that you may cut Cazorla more slack seeing how this is his first 10 games in a new league and his coach basically just said from day one, hey why don't we run our whole offense through you. And he's had one average game.
Your standards are remarkably high for anyone not wearing a Chelsea jersey.

LOL, a non english player dives and people act shocked. Then when English players dive no thread ever pops up. And then they act like Cazorla is bad or isn't playing well or something?????????
Well EPL fans get used to it because your league has turned into a league full of foreigner's and Wayne Rooney. Not to mention the offensive play in that league is just pitiful, I mean if we took the foreigner's out of the EPL there probably wouldn't be one goal all year scored from someones foot, just blind crosses into the box and headers.
There is such an identity crisis in the EPL it's incredible teams have no identity what so ever except for United and that's because of there coach and Rooney. All the big teams come out looking like a different team every week and the offense shown lately has been really just sub par especially in Europe, I mean they could barely score in the Champions League and had trouble stopping anyone.
Every race of players dive but for some reason only the Spanish / Hispanic players catch any slack for it on this board, gee I wonder why?
It could be because by in large players grown outside the EPL dominate football. English players can't dive because they can't even get on the field anymore in there own league and they don't dare to try any other league out because they already know there not good enough and the donkey ball they have been playing wont fly anywhere else.
I don't know how to make you guys feel better, sure every race of players dive do Hispanic and Italian players do it more? Probably. Are they brought up that way a little more yes but since you guys don't really have a league to call your own anymore I don't know where to tell you to watch your football. Maybe the MLS? There isn't much diving there.
So again if you don't want to see diving watch the MLS because the EPL is importing in players who dive on occasion and have almost toally stopped making quality players. You can't blame the teams for going outside England I mean the only top team who even tried to win with British players is Liverpool and we have seen what a disaster that has been.
So embrace diving because your league is now a diving league.

Re: Santi Cazorla - Europe's Best All-Round Midfielder
And give me a break with this whole "Wenger is going to talk to him" garbage.
Wenger is like any other coach who's team has been on bad form, they will take goals / wins however he can get them at this point. And then after the game act like he's going to have a sit down with Santi, what a load of garbage.
I guarantee you if someone told Wenger before the game, I can tell you 100% you will win this game but you have to dive to do it he would snatch that guys arm off to make the deal in less then the time it even takes to think about it.
IF you guys really believe Wenger is going to talk to Cazorla about diving then you're more naive then I thought.

Re: Santi Cazorla - Europe's Best All-Round Midfielder
Well you covered diving, but basically ignored the fact that his overall play has been very underwhelming
I referenced the dive because that was pretty much the only thing he contributed to the team today
This situation is stretching into its third month now..
Also you're definitely wrong about Wenger, if you think the only thing that matters to him is results you don't know him at all...
Edit: As a result of my discussion with Arq I have decided to describe his performances as "underwhelming" rather than "poor"

Arsene has talked to Walcott and Eduardo before, about diving, wouldn't be surprised if he did it again with Santi.

You know, generalizations bother me even when they're accurate. But to claim that this forum blames non-English players for diving, when every thread that discusses diving includes a reference to Gareth Bale and Ashley Young among others, doesn't just lump together a large number of disparate posters into one opinion - it's also wrong. Calm down the vitriol and pay attention to what you're saying.

Re: Santi Cazorla - Europe's Best All-Round Midfielder
Barca fans are so used to the idea of their team diving, crying and vagi'ing their way to victory, that, the mere idea that a manager has a word with a player who dives in a game is considered as divine an act as walking on water or raising the dead

And as far as Wenger's principles go, we're talking about a man who replayed an entire game when a slightly naive Kanu scored a controversial winning goal against Sheffield United
