Ter Stegen continues to be an unadulterated catastrophy in the NT jersey.

Two times, involved, two times pants-shitting moments because there is no Neuer.
Neuer always has perfect timing when coming out. ter Stegen on the other hand basically gave a penalty away already with a botched attempt to come off the line, with both Vardy and the ref being merciful.

I really like how Kimmich is shaping up. Wagner again proves my point that you really don't always have to have the best striker in the world up front, you just have to remember strikers were a thing once, and occasionally use them. I love Klose with the entirety of my heart, but it's not like he was vastly superior to the likes of Stindl, or even Kruse and Wagner. We just stopped playing strikers, and as a result, strikers stopped scoring for us. It's really not that complicated. Not saying we should play a classic 9 each and every match, but we could probably do it more than we have been in the recent past.

Kimmich was the best player on the pitch.
He is fantastic, the only question marks are still his defensive abilities, in duels and positioning, at top level.

That's one reason why I was hoping for Tuchel and maybe some 3-man defense variation at Bayern, where he could be a wing back.
Carlo already experimented with one midfielder, Tolisso, staying deep to the right, 'abkippen' whatevers the English word, to cover for Kimmich.

Wagner is very good, and most of all a real SOB, the German version of Diego Costa without being quite as nasty and disgusting. Nothing wrong with Stindl, or Kruse either.

But I think it's far too harsh on Miro to claim he's not vastly superior to them. Miro was a top striker, period. Depends of your definition of vastly, of course, but I think we have to acknowledge he was a league above them.

Oh yeah Miro was better than them, and would probably perform to a more impressive degree than either of them, but what I was trying to say is that Klose couldn't do anything that the others flat-out couldn't do. He was just better. But it's not that certain options totally disappeared with Miro.

Ginter hasn't turned out as good as one thought.

Mustafi has been ruined by Wenger.

Yeah I agree Ginter seldom outright impresses, but on the other hand he seldomly f*cks up, which is kind of impressive in it's own right.
