Now you can argue he shouldve scored the rebound from Vucinic's shot that hit the post - so maybe he blew that chance but apart from that, he was in decent positions for most of the attacking play but today was Vucinic's day - the ball seemed to find its way to him

Dont forget that Matri is a PrimaPunta.. hes not a creator, hes not a SS - he needs service to score. Hes a target man. Unfortunately, he wasnt targetted today.

I do think if we had a player like Mario Gomez (my DREAM signing), he wouldve been more effective as a target man than Matri - ill readily admit that. Maybe the ball would find its way to players like him more so than Matri

But the fact that we won 5-0 without Matri scoring isnt really a reflection of our Strikers INABILITY but more a reflection of our teams (and Vucinic's when hes in form) ABILITY

Its not like that.. Even if had chances most probably he would miss them imo
An example is the rebound . Another ex is last match i remember when his shots were blocked easily by the defenders... Only 1/4 of the chances are a gol

sure, we need better than Matri. Hes a good player but not world class - I dont think anyone is debating that.

The issue is for THIS PARTICULAR game - Matri's presence in the starting XI did not cost us any more goals nor did he "screw up" in any way.

If you remember good I told you guys that Vucinic is getting IN FORM and this is the real vucinic and when I have this avatar we are winning

Noone has ever doubted Vucinics talent.
But he is TERRIBLY inconsistent. Thats the truth.
When on song - he is fantastic.
But he does tend to disappear out of matches very quickly when not on form
Seems like he either contributes 100% or nothing.
In any case - this game should give him all the confidence he needs
Lets hope its the start of a good run for us with Vucinic leading the charge.

Yes, off the ball violent conduct. By the rules it's a straight red but obviously in reality wasn't that serious, so it could have gone even with a yellow. The ref went strictly by the rules.

I agree with the red because Cerci kicked Caceres in the muscle. That could lead to an injury if the muscle is tense...or to a knock making Martin limp for a while until the pain disappears. try it on yourself if you don't believe.

Caceres could have been slower or out of the game for a some minutes and fiorentina trio could have exploited this short advantage
