We're losing points becouse we can afford to.

Mourinho said that the 10 points lead will give us alot of room for mistakes. Now we don't have that luxury and need to be 100% focused.

Crucial points: organization in defence and midfield has to be sorted out by next year. Be sure to meet Bayern, Farca and other well organized top teams in CL again. If we want la decima we need to evolve further.

1. The defensive shape was zig zag which made offside line impossbile. Gomez was free to run behind the defence all the time. I don't know whether the CBs couldn't keep the line proper or the midfield didn't offer enough protection.

2. Attack and defence gets cut off in half by teams with superior midfield. It's a waste of talent to let CR7, Benz, Özil etc. to go on in a game with least touches possible.

Bayern is a great team. They have a better midfield than us. That doesnt mean we lack the quality to win a CL. That game ended on penalties for a reason. It was an incredibly close game. Plus we were tired as *bleep* from playing Barca.

We have the quality to win the CL. And with time we'll get better.

Or we slowed the tempo once we had two goals?
If there was any a time to win la decima, it was now.

You sound as if our players are getting too old or as if we're selling them in the summer.

Mourinho is staying. Our players are staying. And they're all young. Even Ronaldo has atleast 3 years more at his current level (probabbly more since he treats his body so well).

And slowing the tempo was the right decision. We couldnt keep that up for the whole game, we'd get overrun at the end. And when you are winning 2-0 it's better to defend and play on the counter. We are not a Barcelona type of team, our tatic adapts to the situation. That penalty was a bit unlucky, and Casillas almost saved it. Luck definetly wasnt on our side in this tie, but our players gave it their all.

This season just wasn't our season but the upcoming one we should do better. We can't make the same mistakes as we made in this one. The team has to evolve even further in defense/midfield cohesion.

The team is alright people. It's just that our midfield gets dominated by top opposition too easily which cuts off the forwards= our main strength. It wasn't just due to luck or penalties, Bayern creates more goal scoring chances. If Gomez wasn't out of it we wouldn't reach the penalties at all. That's where I think a change is needed. Letting people like CR7, Benz and Özil run chase around to just get a sight of the ball in top games is a waste of our potential/ talent. They deserve to be supplied with better service in advantageous position.
I'd even drop Di Maria from the starting lineup if the addition of another midfielder would bring stability in midfield. CR7, Benz and Özil are able to manage the attack alone.

Huh? Where did I imply that our players were too old?
Sitting back to play on the counter on a 2-0 lead while being at home against a team that only needs one goal to "technically" equalize isn't a good idea.
