Giovinco backs AC Milan to beat Juventus to Serie A title

Parma attacker Sebastian Giovinco, who is co-owned by Juventus, has voiced his opinion that AC Milan play the best football in Serie A and will win the Scudetto this season.

The Rossoneri currently hold a four-point lead over the Old Lady in the race for the title, and the Italy international believes that the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the San Siro side gives them the edge over their rivals.

"Our next game is the one against Milan, and it will be a very difficult game. We will have to be perfect in order to get a good result," the 25-year-old was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport.

"Milan will win the Scudetto. They play better football [than Juventus] and have a player like Ibrahimovic who makes the difference."

Saturday's match at the Ennio Tardini between Parma and Milan kicks off at 18.00CET.

Gio is smart & driven guy. He knows he has little chance with Juve and might end up somewhere else (hopefully Parma ). He's trying to distant himself from Juve and I don't think he's emotionally attached to Juve anymore, so the comparison to ADP is ridiculous ( that and talent wise, he's at the same level as Giacherini). Also blame the interviewers, every time they feel the need to ask about Juventus while totally ignore Parma or his performance.

Personality aside, I don't think Gio would fit in Conte system.

Conte does this every week....!!

That is because in the past he has taken digs at Juventus.

So people would assume its more or less along the lines of him being disrespectful towards Juve.

Whereas Conte has been generally honest in his comments.I dont really understand the comparison to giovinco's interviews here.

If it was a genuinely honest comment from Giovinco then i'd agree with him.

Sure he has said some not nice things about juve, but he is bitter at juve. And he has reason to be. We treated him like trash, not one of our own.

People are jumping on his every words, but he just speaks the truth (now). He has been disrespectful to Juve many times, but that's true in the other way around as well. He is done with Juve forever, noone wants him here and he doesn't want to come back either so that's the end of story.

Not true.

To get him back ,we need to bid atleast 10m for him which quite frankly is ridiculous and all blame goes to the management for screwing it up.

So i'd rather put all my efforts in getting a top finisher.We have had something like 180 shots on target And scored only close to 50 goals.

You know if Vucinic plays like the way he played against Genoa but the thing though is that he is terribly inconsistent and unreliable.So you know bringing back Giovinco wont be a bad option afterall.

But it remains to be seen what the planned budget for transfers next season are.

If that happens you might find yourselves in a terrible fix, lets say you bought him back and paid 7m-10m for the other half of his contract, and then no other team came for him at more than 5-10m what would you do then?

Knowing Italian teams and how mean and stingy they are I won't be surprised if no one bided more than 7m for his full rights, especially if they know that the player and the fans are not on good terms. Then you would either have to sell him for a lose or play him, or bench him and thats when the real bitching starts, anyway he is always welcomed to the home of talents Milan.
