Re: Lucas Piazon
I think Lalkovic will be higher than him in the pecking order for making debuts.

Personally i rate Lalkovic higher, and btw he has hinted on his twitter that he will go on loan.
I would like to see him join PVA and Kalas at Chelsea B i mean Vitesse .
I don't think Lalkovic or Piazon will make a debut this season unfortunately.

Re: Lucas Piazon
Lucas Piazon is a pure playmaker and we have a distinct lack of those in our squad atm. Don't be too quick to dismiss the idea of him making his debut this season seeing as AVB rates him highly.

Re: Lucas Piazon
good kid, just is abit stupid.
Chelsea was a decent move for him, but how many of you actually believe he is going to get a good shot in the team?
IMHO he should have signed for juventus because they were in a re-building phase and would of more than likely got a very good chance to play because they lacked strikers and creative players at that point.
kind of the same way we saw sorensen come about.
But either way, cant say im happy nor sad.

because he's fast and strong? unlike paizon.Ganso wrote:Sturridge got a shot,why can't he?
hes an english citizen so he's more likely to be settled.
also sturridge didnt get a shot untill he was loaned out to bolton, if he had failed god know where he'd be now.
i just dont see paizon being played till another few years and thats if everything goes right.
any chelsea fan correct me if im wrong, i only know aobout him doing well at bolton.

Re: Lucas Piazon
Piazon extends his contract to June 2017
@Cassius_Case: Are you saying Piazon would have automatically been first choice at Juventus?
The kid is talented, but he's not ready to play in a big league.
He will get introduced if he's good enough, if he's not he won't. Loan deals are meant for these types of players to prove themselves, but don't forget Romeu was not loaned. And it's not like we throw them in the thrash if they fail in a loan deal like you're trying to make out of Sturridge, just look at Kakuta.

Nope, just saying he would have more of a shot at Juve. hes eligable to play right now and if he went to Juve he would have got some chances because we had the aging Iaquinta, The terrible Amauri and Del Piero although a legend he's old, there would have only been 2 strikers infront of Piazon, thats assuming we would have only purchesed 2 of 3 strikers out of matri, quags and vucinic.
Unlike at chelsea where he'd have drogba, torres, lukaku ect (i dont know all your attacking options)
What do you mean 'And it's not like we throw them in the thrash if they fail in a loan deal like you're trying to make out of Sturridge'? i never implied that you threw them out like trash. All i was saying is if at Bolton Sturridge didnt score and play so well we wouldnt know where he'd be right now, because i dont expect Roman to keep hold of him for long. i wasnt implying chelsea dont give chances or anything, just that he more than likely would of got a chance really quick with that current Juve.

Re: Lucas Piazon
You're right about that Cassius. Sorry if I misunderstood you.
The competition at Chelsea will increase and he will find it hard to break into. But see the thing is if he develops like McEachran then we would pretty much be forced to play him, or he could leave the club and get first team football elsewhere.
Right now we should worry about developing him right, because this is a big talent that we cannot ignore.
Developing him is more important than him starting at Chelsea.
If he starts in his loan deals and does well and sees that at Chelsea his competition is too much, he can leave and join another club and that way his development would not be affected.

Developing and implementing into the first team are two different things. That's why Madrid are able to make bright stars even though they don't introduce them into the first team. One negative about being a youth at Arsenal though is that you're rushed into the first team far too quickly and after a few good games you become poor and lose confidence. Also since you're young and overused you tend to get injured frequently. It is not a good idea to do that. Also I don't think Arsenal would be too attractive of a place to go to after this season, if not already.

So he's going to be on the bench?
By the way guys, I don't think this means much. We're not going to sign a winger and with Anelka leaving he'll be back up just in case he is needed.

Re: Lucas Piazon
I see him as more or less Ramires replacement, or the replacement for his replacement.
I doubt he will play much, but with Drogs and Kalouless away it doesn't leave us with much attackers, he might get some gametime up front.
