It would make us look terrible, dumping Ibra after one season then dumping Villa after one season but a Villa-Aguero swap is a good deal imo.

No, I wouldn't sell a player who's proven himself and has earnt his spot for any amount of cash. At 30 years old he can still play for 2-3 more years... with Pedro (24), Messi (24), Sanchez (22), Bojan (20) and La Masia... there's no need to look to the future... let's just keep the best team in the world exactly the same and continue our dominance.

No. Villa should stay unless he himself wants to move in other clubs. This man loves Barca and aspired to become a Barca player for long time. He joined with us last year and won Liga and CL. We should respect our players more than any other club. Remember we are simply not just a club. Beside he will only get better in this 2nd season with us and frankly we need him to mentor Sanchez and Pedro.
And Btw why people are so afraid of age factor. He imo will be fit for play for atleast 3 more seasons at Barca's main 11(age 32).Then again as he already won la liga and CL with Barca and might want to move a English club then we should sell him. ManCity will be actually best option for him as he will join his old mate Silva there and with Tevez playing alongside I think City will be favourite for EPL title over ManUnt and Chelsea.

Villa had a great first season with us, there's no way Pep would want to sell him. He's connecting so well with the way the team plays, there is no guarantee whatsoever that any of those Sanchez/Rossi/Neymar/Aguero can come in and immediately replace his presence on the field.

From a business point of view selling a thirty year old player for 45M would be a perfect deal. Also it would leave you with a 5M profit from his transfers in and out of Barcelona.
From football point of view, on the other hand, David Villa did great for the team last season and when a machine is working perfectly well there is no need to risk in changing parts. And it is not like Barcelona need the money, the club is one of the richest in the world.
So I think that both decisions, sell him or not, will have their logic.

No way in hell should Barca sell Villa. If you only look at the money, which would be 45 mil euros, it would be pretty much perfect as Villa will be 30 soon.
But when you look on the other aspects, how he fits in the team, how much his teammates like him, his goals, work rate etc etc he should not be sold.

And add to that his performances in the big games - 2 goals against real madrid, 1 against Arsenal and 1 hell of a goal in the cl finals.
He doesent even play at his natural position.

Aguero would be a good deal, but he is close to a juve move. Plus, I would still give him another chance with another season. I still think he can regain his Valencia form even in another position. And we all remember what that was like!

If its for Aguero, it wouldnt be such a bad deal considering the age difference. If its for Rossi, I would be pissed, he isnt on THAT good
