To Anzhi for £7.5 mill

I hear they're in talks indeed, but didn't know a deal has been struck already.

And boy it's sad to see these good players going to Anzhi to be forgotten.

If Anzhi qualifies for CL, I can see then making the quarterfinals. Eto'o, Zhirkov, Samba, not too shabby.

Mikel has also confirmed that Anzhi have approached him and he hasn't yet decided if he would go there.

Anzhi seem to be 7th in the Russian league, top-2 qualify for CL, so it's not looking very likely they'll make it.

Plus unless UEFA completely abandon their Financial Fair Play rules, Anzhi will never get a license to play in UEFA competitions.

Anzhi are crap in the league.

Wow, what a waste. I rate Samba very highly and for 7.5 mill I can think of a number of top EPL clubs that really need him, Cough Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, United etc etc cough.

I probably rate him more then most as I think he's terrific and can single handedly make you 100% better on defending and taking set pieces plus he's just a beast in general that he could walk into most EPL teams not to mention his style of play is perfect for the EPL.

7.5 mill for him is a steal and if that's all Blackburn have been asking for him then shame on a lot of the teams who passed on him during the window.

Up there with Dzudzsak's move last season.....just bizarre.

He wanted to go to those other premier league clubs, remember? Steve Kean blocked his exit and has subsequently refused to play him, because he was not "inthe right mindset." These situations are utterly ridiculous. If BLackburn end up selling him to Anzhi, they may take the prize for most hypocritical transfer policy of this window. They clearly did not think through their actions during the window, and both the club and samba will have to live with the consequences of their childish and shot-sighted decision making.

Yea, I mean correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure Blackburn could have used that 7-8 mill to bring in some re-enforcement's during the transfer window to try and stay in the league.

This is just terrible management if they let him go now and can't use the money to help the squad until the next window.
