The game back then was awesome, but the story was crap & repetitive. The gameplay was really boring. But yes the setting was great. The Verminator wrote:Was my favourite one. And my only one. Maybe i liked the setting?Anti-DNA wrote:Awwwwww yeeeeeah
Loved every AC expect AC1

Re: The Official Assassin's Creed Thread
Yea that is true, but i also agree with what Zealous is saying. There was this sense of mystery that was subtle but present. Like i understood, that (possible spoilers) you were playing as Altair and you were listening to the head of the Assassins and trying to get to the treasure before the others and stuff, but yet it felt like there was some sort of connection with Illuminati and stuff, especially at the end scene. That Abstergo company always seemed so mysterious to me.....

i hated the first one tbh... fun for a while but then it just got unbearably repetitive... especially the stupid pickpocket missions

I see Zeal is being a hipster again, liking AC1 over AC2 because its not the popular choice
AC2 shits all over AC1 in every regard the only people that will disagree with that are Hipsters(Zeal) or because thats the only one they played(Verminator)

Re: The Official Assassin's Creed Thread
Assassins Creed 2 is far superior to AC1
I rate Brotherhood and Revelations similar. Good, not ground breaking.

I don't really rate AC1 over AC2, just haven't played so i can't judge that's all...Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:I see Zeal is being a hipster again, liking AC1 over AC2 because its not the popular choice

Though if i never played either and i had to choose between both of them, i'd go with AC2...

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-03-29-ubisoft-assassins-creed-3-pc-works-better-with-a-controller
go suck a bag of dicks ubisoft, seriously... i would have thought they wouldn't want to alienate the 5 pc users who still buy their games even with the constantly-online drm bullshit...
"We're definitely supporting PC, we love PC, but I think it'll be PC with a controller," he said.
"I don't see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin's Creed, you have a controller."

Who plays Assassin's Creed without a controller though?
I use PC and play it with my controller... Same goes for any non-FPS game.

Re: The Official Assassin's Creed Thread
Alright...
I loved AC2.
I liked Brotherhood.
I never finished Revelations.
AC3... looks... UNREAL.
I understand Bro-hood and Revvo were essentially extensions to AC2 but I felt those games were extremely similar. AC3 looks like a very different experience. We're so used to crowded European streets and guards on rooftops. I'm so stoked for this game. Climbing trees, ambushing camps, fending off wildlife is a completely foreign experience. But the bit where you see Connor (I think thats his name) parkour THROUGH a building, I think that will an entirely new dimension to the free-running aspect of the game.
Like I said, really, really looking forward to this game.

never finished revelations ? not sure if serious ...
you miss out a great ending to the stories of Ezio & Altair , not to mention you must see what happens in order to be on par with the storyline , although it doesn't really "reveal" that much , in contradiction with the title ..it has many revelations , but not THE revelations you expect it.
AC : Deceptions , is more accurate :vagi:

WOWOWOWOWOW!
this game is gonna be epicness infinite....
cant wait for the finish
the story is really at a climax
Ubisoft really know how to write a great story
Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell, and AC
three amazing storylines, brilliant gameplay, and great innovation

nah bro, i dont think so
its based on the American Revolution, and they promised that they would show some bad stuff, infact Connor hunts both British and American soldiers, basically because there are templars on both sides

Re: The Official Assassin's Creed Thread
Just finished Revelations not too long ago so I'm all ready to go for this newest adventure....really looking forward to ambushing fools from the trees. One curious thing though is that we've seen him carry a gun and a tomahawk, but I wonder if we'll still have the hidden blade

Yup, at least from what I can tell so far. I'm about 4 sequences in.
And yeah, the beginning was a little slow, but it picks up right after.

Enjoying it so far not seeing any of the issues that some reviews have mentioned yet tbh.
I'm only half way through Sequence 2 mind.
