Which club had the best and worst transfers of the season?

For me, best was Newcastle. Demba Ba, Santon, Cabaye and Papiss Cisse

Worst was probably Inter. Selling their best player Eto'o and replacing him with Zarate (grand total of 0 Serie A goals )and a washed up Forlan. Palombo, Poli, Guarin and Castoignos has hardly played and Alvarez has been meh for them. And then there was Jonathan too

Milan had a mixed bag. Uncle Fester probably pulled off the bargain of the season by getting Bosserino for only 1M, Aquillani was playing pretty good before he got injured, Mesbah was a pretty shrewd signing, Lopez was a clever depth signing and El Shaarawy looks like a world class player in the making. But then there was epic fail in Taiwo (at least he was free) and the absolute brainfart in signing Muntari.

So what's your opinion GL'ers

I think Gaurin has only just arrived so naming him is pretty unfair, Castoignos is clearly a player for the future and looked quite talented too. Why is El Shaarawy a great signing but Costoignos is a poor one? Also Poli falls under that same bracket.

Alvarez seems decent to me, considering where he came from and the situation he is in.

downing is one of the flops of the season along with sahin, zapata and arda... tempted to include de gea too... oh and i almost forgot fabio "25 million" coentrao

anyway i'd say we did pretty well... rami and alves A+, ruiz and piatti C, parejo and barragan D

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give Downing a -2.

Adam is fine, a B is accurate.

Dabo for 2 millions : Back up, got sent off when he plays 2/10
Fofana for 2 millions: Back up, bad when he plays 2/10
Koné for 2 millions : Good suprise, can be very good in future 7/10

(I don't include the saudi guy that will never play outside our reserve)

OUT

Delgado, end of contract
Pjanic for 11 millions
Toulalan for 10 millions

We lost 3 keys players and got only one decent player in return.

Our transferts have been very painful

Overall I rate it as 2/10, very bad, weakening the team considerably.

Newcastle had the best transfer. Their scouting team is incredible imo.

Ours- Jones great( our best signing) DDG- shaky moments, but will prove a great signing in the years to come. Ashley Young- meh...nothing special imo (decent squad player though).

El Shaarawy unlike Castoignos has played and scored and looked really good. Castoignos is clearly talented but his talent will go to waste if he keeps rotting on the bench. Guarin arrived at deadline day, that's 3 whole weeks and he's yet to play a single match. Unless he's injured, this doesn't make any sense.

Most of the transfers they made are loans with option to buy, lot of these players might not be here next season.
