Re: Pep Guardiola
Milan were far more succesful with Fabio than with Arrigo, this is definitely not the end of a cycle.

He has been feeling the pressure since 4 years . This is an extremely difficult job as the opponents get stronger or stronger . you can't stay at barcelona ( and of course RM ) for a long period : Too intense . Thx for all Pep Guardiola , the first time i heard about this man, i was still depressed by the Ronaldinho's era so i was not optimist. He made some bad choice , but who don't . PEP I LOVE YOU, bring me so much joy thx. Hope to see him back ( i'm sure he will) do you imagine if he come back in 10 or 20 years from now ?? OMG we will be so old

Re: Pep Guardiola
I've been reading that it will be confirmed whether he will stay or leave tomorrow, not that he will leave? Or is that just my hope of him staying taking over? And most of the Barca related people have been saying he will stay.
Really hope he stays, but well if he needs rest then he truly deserves it.

Re: Pep Guardiola
i have a strange choice ... i'm die hard fan of Mourinho for his personality and charisma while i admire Pep for his style of play ... both are football genius ... Pep please come to Roma if LE chooses to leave for Barca ... anyways, all the best for Pep, no matter where you go ... you will always have an admirer, far from Spain in a country where people live for Cricket

Re: Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola to end reign as Barcelona coach in summer
Pep Guardiola will stand down as Barcelona manager at the end of the season after deciding not to renew his rolling one-year contract.
The 41-year-old, who made 479 appearances for Barca between 1990 and 2001, was appointed in 2008 and has led the Catalan club to 13 trophies.
But they look set to miss out to Real Madrid in La Liga and were knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea.
It is understood that Guardiola will take a year-long break from the game.
An 1230 BST news conference has been called at the Nou Camp, where he is expected to explain the decision.
Guardiola spent three hours with Barca president Sandro Rosell on Thursday and informed his players on Friday morning.
He is the most successful coach in Barca history, with three league titles, two Champions Leagues and a Copa del Rey among his haul.
The former Spain midfielder has overseen the rise of three-time world player of the year Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta, while signing Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal.
Guardiola was particularly close to Messi - describing him as "the best ever" player - while the Argentina forward suggested Guardiola was the main factor behind Barca's recent success.
During talks which took place at Rosell's home in the city, Guardiola is thought to have said that he "could not go on".
What began as discussions over an extension to his deal soon turned into a push to keep Guardiola at the club.
Rosell is understood to have offered Guardiola unlimited spending power this summer but the Catalan did not base his decision on money.
Guardiola, a former Barca captain, has always maintained he would do what was best for the club.

Should get Mirko Slomka. Would love to see Barca playing physical counter-attacking hoofball, maybe I'd like them again.

Re: Pep Guardiola
I would be more than happy if he takes Tello with him too.
Anyway, I think this may turn out for the best for both sides. One gets a break they so eagerly desired, and the other gets a new manager hungry for success to rejuvenate the players. Win win situation for me.

1) Otto Rehhagel, I assume
2) Holy shit that would be so boss. But don't be mistaken, he would do a great job. He is an incredibly good coach, though I can see him benching Messi because "he's too little" ^^
@Pedram: I sound like I'm celebrating because this is exciting. Barcelona is still the team with one of the top 3 squads in the world, as a football fan and hobby-tactician it's immensely exciting to see how a change of coach will affect such a homogenous group, who are all used to playing the same system, and if the next coach will just try to build on that established system, or try something new.
