Re: Borussia Dortmund
Well, they need to be careful that they don't have too much profit or taxes will eat them up. So they will likely invest wisely and thus keep the taxes low.

Re: Borussia Dortmund
This cruel for Dortmund. They have so many players injured and the very first match will go a long way in not just deciding the group winner but but qualification as well.Tu 16.09.2014, 20:45 - Borussia Dortmund vs Arsenal

Well, I trust in Jürgen Klopp to be able to get the best even out of an injury-weakened team.

Re: Borussia Dortmund
As I updated the Dortmund squad for 2015/16, I noticed that Mustafa Amini (who was signed about 4 years ago from Australia) transfered to Randers FC in Denmark in June 2015. Looks like he is another of those big talents that never really made their proper break through. Pity that!

The WDR (a German PBS) recorded the club song "Am Borsigplatz geboren" of Borussia Dortmund with a large group of fans and the WDR Funkhausorchester (Radio Symphony Orchestra):

Re: Borussia Dortmund
Well the summer market is closed. And I'm glad it's over.
Out: Dembele, Ginter, Mor, Bender, Ramos, Merino (Loan), Passlack (Loan)
Major one is Dembele. But I am sad to see Bender leave. Loved Iron Manni
In: Yarmolenko, Philipp, Dahoud, Toprak, Zagadou, Toljan, Sancho
I have to give the market a B. Lost Dembele but we would have sold him next year anyway. I wasn't under any illusion he would stay more than 2 years. Yarmolenko I hope can be really good for us. Philipp looks like he needs time to settle in. Dahoud might be the gem of the summer. Toprak looks pretty solid. Zagadou is currently playing LB until some of the injured players come back. Hasn't been terrible. But obviously he's a CB. From what I have heard Sancho might be really good but I havent seen enough of him or Toljan to make conclusions. But always optimistic. So overall I give it a B. Depending on how the signings pan out I would be willing to bump it up to an A-
But now that the summer distractions are over its time to look forward to the CL and Bundesliga

Re: Borussia Dortmund
I think Dortmund did well overall, this summer.
Obviously Dembele is a massive loss but I think Pulisic will step it up this year

Re: Borussia Dortmund
I guess Dortmund's strategy is to keep qualifying for CL. In that regard, they are assembling a decent squad while milking their stars.Kick wrote:I think Dortmund did well overall, this summer.

Re: Borussia Dortmund
Rumor I saw this morning is that they are working on securing Dolberg for January. I have heard good things about him but I think I've only seen him once or twice. Would be our type of signing though
But I think Pulisic is ready for a really good season. The game against Hertha he was great. Came close to scoring several times. Interested to see how he does if Yarmolenko comes in and plays on the left (which is his preferred side)

Re: Borussia Dortmund
Thoughts on the Freiburg game: frustrating to the nth degree. Bartra down with an injury, Schmeltzer now out 6 weeks. Disappointing draw. But I knew it was coming before HT. Just had a feeling that I was going to sit and watch a 0-0 draw. There isn't a lot to take away from this match tbh.
