Re: Man Utd's "crap" midfield
Well if one says the midfield doesnt protect the back 4, then thats fair in some cases I guess. I agree with that.
But people dont say that, and they also dont label Chelea's midfield crap to that extent either. People blame Torres and Luiz regardless of what happened in the game, but the midfield tends to get off with a free (by comparions) pass.
Overall, I think you have a realistic view of the midfield, I dont really disagree much at all. But the general feeling isnt quite the same sensible point of view.

Re: Man Utd's "crap" midfield
Man U got to those finals mainly becos of Rooney, the defense, VDS more than the midfield though.... part of the midfield, Nani and Valencia have been very good though, the central midfield is the problem, but their strength elsewhere covers it up.... but as said above Scholes and Giggs still playing there says it all...

Re: Man Utd's "crap" midfield
well considering the amount of injuries we have had this season i think we've done bloody well. just our midfield we've had cleverley out most of the season, fletcher out all year, anderson injured, valencia just hitting form since he missed a long time with broken ankle, ashley young injured most of the season.
sure does, two men at the twillight of their illustrious careers, one missing six months of football still controlling the tempo of games against top sides at their ages. legends.

He's always been a fitness monster, just remember he broke a frakking leg so he wasn't 100%.

Re: Man Utd's "crap" midfield
Righto....just realised he was injured and went off during the game...
If hes on form, together with the likes of Chicharito and Rooney firing...they could be formiddable once again.... I hope not

Too bad we have all "matured" from the usual league arguments a bit. Red would probably have been on auto lock mode if this sort of victory happened when we all were on goal.com.
