Cuenca Vs Tello

Who will make it at Barca and Why?
- Both?
- Cuenca?
- Tello?
- None?

The catalan Hleb vs. The catalan Theo Walcott.

Tello is incredibly faster, we can think of him as an improved Jeffren.
Cuenca has much more ability and ball control.
They are the same age.

I think Cuenca suits our style better and would say he has more chances to make it at Barça, but I doubt he can become an established starter.

Ps. Cuenca is the good Hleb, the one that stayed at Arsenal, not the bielorus tourist twin that came to Barça.

If you guys watched both at Barca B, who is the better scorer?

I used to not be a big fan of Tello but he kind of grew on me, but Cuenca is a fantastic dribbler.

Tello is faster, but Cuenca has more overall skill.

Different players who depending on the game can have differing impacts.

I can see Cuenca being with us a long time, Tello has less of a chance I feel.

Agree, I think Cuenca fits our system better, his dribbling in small spaces suits Barca better.. Tello depends more on his speed, he needs spaces..

Hmm...It all depends what kind of squad you want to set. Tbh I would take Cuenca myself.

Tello gives you a different option.....an option you can probably use in some in some you know....tough situations when things aren't going.

Cuneca though could probably reach Pires level......

Well in some ways, Cuenca has already made it. He'll be in the team for at least a couple of years. Pep seems to like him too. Can he become a star though? Slim chance. I think its more likely he'll fade a little. Excellent talent, but right now the competition is ridiculously talented. It's likely we'll buy someone else, and there are already other players to comPete with.

Cuenca is more skilful and on the whole a better player. Tello offers a bit more of a tactical option. For years, I know Dani will remember, I've been saying it would be nice to have one player on the bench with real pace who goes down the wing and behind the fullback instead of inside. I like Tello's style and maybe he could be that player, but I think he has a slim chance. He's got to really explode, do a pedro to get noticed.

He may be a little faster, not sure though, and Jeffren has an injury problem, but otherwise I think Jeffren was far superior. I always thought he was a good player, he's horribly unlucky with his injuries. I thought he was perfect for that tactical option I talked of. Id take a fit Jeffren over bbother these youths tbh. Unlucky we don't have Bojan atm too, this could have been his chance.

No way he reaches that kind of level for me. He doesnt have that in him, Pires was physically far above anything Cuenca will ever become plus all the technical skills, two feet and shooting.

Need to see more of Tello, but right now im picking Jeffren.

Roughly a fast as each other but I see that Jeffren actually has a final ball, we will see if Tello has that.

Tello is so fast and agile but Cuenca generally is a better player than him.

You are completely right. If I think carefully about it, Tello is currently not better than Jeffren.
I said that because I think that Tello has more potential than Jeffren since he is much more younger than when Jeffren was promoted. He is very fast and deep, similar to Jeffren, but I like the fact that is more two-footed and that he seems to have better ball control than Jeffren.

Anyway, when Jeffren was with us made some remarkable plays and goals.

Jeffren has really struggled in Portugal just fyi. He has only played 5 games ( 3 starts and scored 1 goal)and as you can guess he been injured the rest of the time.

Barca not being able to sort out his injury problems really says alot, feel bad for the guy.

Yeah, I was following him closely and he was playing well until the injury. Bad luck for him. I think he has much more potential than Tello still tbh, but I can't see him realising it because of his injury problems. I've also seen limited amount of Tello, so I don't want to be too quick to judge him.

Anyway, all of them will have to give space to Deulofeu.

I think we all agree with that, talent wise, I think he is above all 3 of them (Cuenca, Tello, Jeffren).

Even on the limited action I have seen of him, that much is clear.

cuenca is better but as a guy above said tello gives barca different option. barca need more like a tello type player when things going wrong

I'd pick Cuenca over Tello and Tello over Jeffren. Jeffren is undoubtedly the better player, but the guy is made of glass. Nope, glass doesn't cut it. Styrofoam, that'll do it. But seriously, I don't see any future for Tello in this team unless he improves a lot (which I don't think he'll do, al least not enough). Cuenca could become something very nice for us, especially if he keeps on developing his technique and physique.

True, but there have been plenty of players I liked more than these guys who have left us. Gio, Gai Assulin (looked talented once), Bojan, Jeffren, Nolito.

Anyone wish we had Nolito this season? Damn... he would be so handy right now.

True, but there have been plenty of players I liked more than these guys who have left us. Gio, Gai Assulin (looked talented once), Bojan, Jeffren, Nolito.

Anyone wish we had Nolito this season? Damn... he would be so handy right now.

i had so much hopes on Gio.. but he made a big mistake by leaving.. he destroyed his career [ wasn't patient]...

He seems to be progressing slowly,doesnt he?
I guess the progression curve isnt the same for every great talent.
Some players are ready even at 17.Guys like Messi,Fabregas or more recently Munian,Neymar,Goetze etc.Saw Ox today for Arsenal and he seems ready for the big stage.
Some others take more time to get ready stage.
Deulofeu is clearly some way off being ready.He will take atleast 2 more years.Also I am not quite sold on the hype.
After the Gai Assulin letdown I am sceptical of any new hyped up graduate from the academy.
At one point Gai was talked of as the new Messi.So lets see how Deulofeu progresses.
