Next question:

Franchise , alexjanosik and friends from Farca section meet RM section in a goallegacy brawl eco smile
Franchise says to Jack Daniels: Come over to us and we'll overwelm them with doubled number of posters.
Jack Daniles answers to Franchise: Come over to our side, this way each side will have equal number of posters. The discussion will be active and balanced=> what the forum needs eco smile

The question, how many posters participate in the GL brawl from Farca and Real Madrid section? eco smile

P.S. junior high level eco smile

Again, answer and justify why eco smile

How would that work because if Barca posters came over then they would still have double the numbers. Or is that part of the trick? hmm

You are the ruler of Goal-legacynation and you are about to have a celebration tomorrow. The celebration is the most important party you have ever hosted. You've got 1000 bottles of wine you were planning to open for the celebration, but you find out that one of them is poisoned.

The poison exhibits no symptoms until death. Death occurs within ten to twenty hours after consuming even the minutest amount of poison.

You have over a thousand slaves at your disposal and just under 24 hours to determine which single bottle is poisoned.

You have a handful of prisoners about to be executed, and it would mar your celebration to have anyone else killed.

What is the smallest number of prisoners you must have to drink from the bottles to be absolutely sure to find the poisoned bottle within 24 hours?

You have two groups of people. How could 2 be the answer? eco smile

Simplified question. If 1 from the second group joins the first one then the 1st group will have double numbers of the second. If the other way around, then both groups will have equal amount of members eco smile

I hope it brings more understanding eco smile

Does a handful mean 10? eco smile If I think that way, 3 prisoners will die at max to make sure where the poisened bottle is eco smile

Ok let me see if I get this right:

1. Group A*2 = Group B - 1 person
2. Group A - 1 person = Group B

That's what I understand from your question.

The Madrid/Barca fan thing made my head hurt.

2x = y-1
x-1 = y

2x = (x-1)*1
2x = x-1
x = -1

-2 = y-1
-1 = y

-1 * 2 = -1 -1

-2 = -2

-1-1 = -1

0=0

hmm

I'm having similar problems, RG Laughing

We've broken math. I've tried adding, multiplying and substituting the ecuations and they all give me funny numbers.

@Sushi, your approach is right but the numbers are wrong eco smile You forgot to consider that if you add 1 member to other group then the previous group will have 1 member less as well eco smile

How is it possible? eco smile
Test yourself, 4-1=3 and 6+1=7.7 isn't double of 3. It doesn't work eco smile
Come on boys, you simply need to think of both ends of the equations eco smile
