Motta
I THINK this whole Motta thing is irritating.
Why is Inter taking so long to renew his contract when he's so vital to the midfield and defence ?
Maybe they're scared of another injury, but i think his quality is undoubted.
-He weighs in with a few goals per season in spite of injuries
-Spreads the ball well to the wings
-Holds a great partnership with Cambiasso
Forza INter

Re: Motta
i'm undecided. partly i think he's very valuable to our team, and partly i think he's overrated by people and definitely replacable

he's indeed replacable, but i dont think we can find a suitable replacement with only 1 week left on the transfer market

We should keep him for another 1-2 seasons, then he'll be replaced by poli

Re: Motta
Never liked him when he first played for Inter.. Always complaining , dirty player.. But over the years I have started to appreciate Motta. Very good interviews , simple and effective football..
I wouldn't mind his replacement , but I'd keep Motta as a bench player then.. I don't want to see the treble side break up.... Don't care even if they keep playing till their 40.. They gave everything for Inter , we can't forget that..

Re: Motta
Poli is not a direct replacement for Motta
Poli is like a creative, passing midfielder, plays more long balls...Motta is much more of a DM, plays a lot of short, simple passes and keeps play moving
We should replace him with John Goatbi Mikel, he is out of favour (I'm British ) at Chelsea
Also Motta is a very dirty player, even if he is very skilled

Re: Motta
Selling Motta now could become disastrousus further down the season. I would go as far and say Motta is more important than Sneijder for us atm. We turned our season around when he came back from injury. Whenever he plays the team plays calm and with their head up, instead of the usual panic mode.
The pros in selling him would be: a young DM would come and he wouldn't demand the wages Motta makes. But, is it worth it?
Unless Sahin comes

Poli was challenging players and winning the ball against genoa like motta does

There is nobody who we'll get in time for the end of the transfer window
Keeping him at least until the end of the season is essential !

I would sell him in the summer not now, unless we get Sahin or something like that.

i say we keep him until the end of the season, because in case any DM gets injured in the team, we will be facing a problem, unless we buy someone, maybe mikel is nice

Re: Motta
I cannot understand the logic behind selling Motta... we already have a weak midfield with him
I mean seriously we beat Milan but couldn't hold onto the ball for 5 *bleep* seconds and that's because of our weak midfield!!! If we sell motta we're going to be playing Cambiasso and Zanetti in midfield for the second half of the season cos Moratti is too cheap to sign anyone

"Credo che l'Inter abbia commesso un errore, non tanto quello del mancato rinnovo del contratto di Thiago Motta quanto quello della mancanza di considerazione del calciatore nonostante sia uno dei piĆ¹ importanti della squadra."
I think Inter have made an error, not that they didn't renew Thiago Motta's contract but the lack of regard that the player is given even though he is one of the most important players of the team.

Re: Motta
lets not over rate mota. Yes he is important to us, but he's so inconsistent/injury prone to be indispensable. My only concern is the timing of the sale not the sale itself, so it doesnt make sense to me to risk the CL qualification to make a few millions

Re: Motta
Thiago Motta's agent has claimed that the Inter midfielder has agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain.
The Brazilian-born Italy international is out of contract at the end of next season and has been heavily linked with a move to the French capital in recent days.
The player's representative, Dario Canovi, has now revealed that his client has agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 leaders and admitted that Wednesday night's Coppa Italia clash could be his final outing for the Nerazzurri.
"Tonight could be his last game in the Inter jersey," the agent told Radio Crc. "The boy has given his blessing to the transfer to PSG."
A deal has yet to be brokered between Inter and the French outfit but, according to Canovi, the player is keen to make the move.
"Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and PSG are a club that is trying to build one of the best teams in the world," he mused.
Canovi claimed on Tuesday that PSG had made a bid for Motta but that he had yet to speak with anyone from the Parisian outfit.
Motta, for his part, was coy when the issue of a move was raised with him earlier this week but did admit his fondness for the French capital.

we shouldnt sell him with no proper backup,
sahin or banega could do the job for me.
