Spain are by no means Barca.

Wehther they should try to be is a whole other argument but to me they will only ever be and extremely poor mans Barca while they have within them the potential to be much better.

The defence was so good because all the team sat deep and helped with defending. Better defenders free up midfielders to roam more forward... eco smile
Our main issue is that we don't play a consistent line of defence ( chemistry) and adjusted to the needs of the team. For example, we play a high line of defence and press high. You need two speedy fullbacks on each side, at least one fast Cb and a physical CB who is good in the air and on the ground, someone like Hummels. Then you need to play them consistently throw all the qualification eco smile Defence is the last place for experiments unless the defenders themselves are 27+ years and very experienced eco smile
Low still doesn't have a consistent back 4. A defence with BAD-stuber in it is a super joke to me. Everything he can do, Mertesacker can do 10 times better...

Germanys defence really wasnt good...

They held them to 1 set piece goal, but as already said, it had far more to do with Spain then it did Germany.

Pedro, Iniesta, Villa and Torres missing clear chances and loads of them.

Most of the chances came after Puyol scored though...

Villa almost scored in the first 10 mins, Puyol on the 15th min, Alonso with a shot from outside the box in the 45th, Villa almost again a few minutes later, Villa was a shot in the box on 66..you get my point.
