Inter hatch Villas Boas plan

Inter hatch Villas-Boas plan
Rejected by Marcelo Bielsa and apparently Sinisa Mihajlovic, Inter are hatching a plan to take Andre Villas-Boas and striker Radamel Falcao from Porto.
Over the past 24 hours, the Nerazzurri have lost Coach Leonardo to his new job as director general of Paris Saint-Germain, been turned down by Bielsa due to “personal reasons” and seen Fiorentina cling to Mihajlovic.
An official statement was expected from the Viola confirming this, but it did not materialise, fuelling rumours Inter have until Monday to come in for Mihajlovic or look elsewhere.
The options are becoming increasingly limited for the Nerazzurri, who could now turn their attention towards Europa League winners Porto.
Villas-Boas is a big target for many clubs in Europe and seen as the new Pep Guardiola, having found huge success with entertaining football at the age of 33.
The Portuguese tactician has also been linked with Chelsea, among others, but has a €15m buy-out clause on his contract.
According to SportItalia and several Portuguese newspapers, that clause becomes void if Porto sell one of their top stars.
With this in mind, Inter could kill two birds with one stone by snapping up striker Falcao and therefore wiping out the cost of bringing in Villas-Boas.
It’s unclear if this is a written clause in his contract or a verbal agreement with Porto.
Villas-Boas would also be recommended to Inter by his mentor, Jose Mourinho.
The other alternatives remain England manager Fabio Capello or the out of contract Guus Hiddink, Gian Piero Gasperini and Delio Rossi.
Outside bets are ex-Roma Coach Claudio Ranieri and Zenit St Petersburg boss Luciano Spalletti

I am not going to speculate anymore. I just know that a manager has to be involved in player selection or else he will be unhappy and have excuses for not performing, so unless we get a manager soon, I am afraid we may go through another Benitez experience.

That is really silly. It could put 200+ million in the coffers and lower salaries 30 million or so. The new manager would have the ability to buy a complete team to his liking. Do you think our opponents would allow that to happen?

based on how expensive good players are atm,i doubt you guys will be able to get many players who can compare to the ones sold.wigglesworth wrote:Ganso wrote:whoever coaches inter better get ready, because i have a feeling they will do a player clearout.

If we offer him full control of the squad no...If we go half assed like we have been for the other candidates then I am with you.
Right now I'm leaning towards your thinking.... I don't think Moratti or Branca wants to give the coach control of the team.

AVB is staying for another year, i doubt he would move especially since Porto are keeping all of their best players.

Re: Inter hatch Villas Boas plan
He can command far greater authority in his next club than now if Porto does well in the CL next year. But if he leaves Porto now and struggles in his new club then his could be ruined .So dont think he will leave Porto in a hurry.

Villaboas isnt looking for a new club. He is living his dream with porto step by step. Not the kind of guy that wants to rush things and climb the ladder faster imo.

Oh just shut up you idiot. You know as well as I do that Moratti has more money than almost any owner and can decide who he wants to sell.

Re: Inter hatch Villas Boas plan
Villa-Boas is pretty damn serious on winning the Champions League with Porto and has repeatedly said that he will not leave this season. And he also has a 15 million release clause and Porto are stupid, they will do anything to keep him.
