Articles and comments are all well and dandy but when I see fans of the club and in general boycott Real Madrid matches, buying their merchandise, etc. then I would say Real's image has taken a serious dent.

Everything else is just bar talk really...

No he cant, by all accounts, including Zidane and Schuster (people i respect), Pepe is the nicest guy off the pitch, and even from what we see in pictures and videos, he is always kidding around with Marcela and Cristiana,

But when he gets on the pitch, some wires in his brain just mix up, and he turns into an animal. It's going to happen again imo, het gets caught in the midst of battle and he loses control.

Its hard to punish a player with an official statement lol,it just harms both player and Club.

What did Barca do when fabregas called "puta negro de *bleep*" ? (and recieved some gifts from seville man)

I dont expect Barca to make a public statements,and they didnt rightfully so,on a clubs image point of view.

He can't control his emotions and his temper gets the upper hand when he becomes frustrated. You can trust him to flip when the pressure is at the highest point if something doesn't go his/Madrids way.

The Getafe incident is the perfect example. When he heard the whistle after Casqueros dive that would/should have cost us the league if it wasn't for a magical freekick from Guti in the closing minutes he just couldn't control himself.

For me the Messi incident was actually worse than that, since the Messi incident was cold and calculated while the Casquero incident was a heat of the moment human, albeit very primal, reaction to being cheated of 1000 hours of work.

Did not feel Casqueros had dived. From what i saw, i thought he was pushed up Pepe from the back a bit. I though it was a foul at that time.

The club does have Varane you know. Signing another centre back would be really detrimental to his development.

Ok, I can agree that it wasn't a blatant dive. There was a minor shove in a situation where he was getting ready to take the shot. But Casqueros sure made the most of it. I'm sure Pepe experienced it as a blatant dive thou.

It would be unrealistic for any top club to rely on a 18 year old in central defense. Varane should aim at being the first backup for now. No matter how talented he is. He won't become the first choice in the next 2-3 years. Thiago Silva is 27, 28 this year. He'll be 30-31 when Varane becomes 21-22 and can start to take over in 3 years time as the sure starter.

But PBW, defenders, particularly usually get better as their age progresses. Who is to say Thiago Silva would not be a better defender at 30 - 31. I expect Real Madrid to sign someone while having Varane there but it still doesn't make it right...

varane is fantaSTIC but hes like just a year older than me .. i dunno when defenders reach their peak but assuming that we are competiting with an outstanding barca side we cant out varane in the first team regularly age at least till 21 or 22.. i wouldnt mind a temporary top class cb till then provided that varane gets the oppurtunities he is getting , against weaker teams,dead rubbers and the occasional ucl clash

Fxck this dirty piece of shxt, I want him out and I hope the door hits him on the way out..

Always hated him since the red he got against Roma in the 07-08 UCL, ruined the tie for us.. We were down 2-1 going into the 2nd leg at home with everything to play for and he brings us down to 10 men :facepalm:
