Is Muller really lazy ?
The technical staff of Bayern Munich have reportedly criticised Thomas Muller for his lack of effort on the training pitch, with the Germany international being accused of working harder for the national side than for the Bavarians, Sport Bild reports.
The 22-year-old had developed into an important first-team member at Bayern in the past few seasons, but he was left out of the match squad for FCB's 3-1 Champions League Group A win over Villarreal back in November 2011.
It was initially thought that the versatile attacker was rested for the encounter, but it has now surfaced that Muller was dropped following a lack of effort in training.
Muller is believed to be unhappy with his situation at Bayern this season, as he has been shuffled from position to position rather than be used in his favourite position of central attacking midfielder.
Head coach Jupp Heynckes has often opted to Toni Kroos in the No.10 position, with Muller pushed out to the right or left wing.

He never seems lazy to me on the pitch ?

Like Tevez apperently. Works his tail off on the pitch, but barely moves in training.
Not saying Mueller is like that, but it is possible to work hard on the pitch and not on it.

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
Muller is facing a more tougher competition from improve Bayern team. Bayern is better than it used to be 2 season ago, we've Kroos now and Alaba is developing very well.
I am afraid Muller might have to sit on the bench, Muller isn't that technically gifted like Kroos, his strength lies in hard-work, determination and he needs to keep that up, he needs to be driven in other to reach full potentials

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
One of Robbéry is always injured and TBH I think once Bayerns midfield is stable enough, we'll se Piggy and Kroos together in defensive midfield, giving Müller a permanent spot at either AM or RM, which are both good positions for him.
AM/CAM because that's where he prefers to play, and is probably best, RM because playing well there will improve his chances of keeping his starting spot in the NT.
He'll be fine.

Tactically it will be much better playing Schweini-Tymo or Gustavo, Kroos-Schweini combo will expose Bayern Midfield.
Also we've to understand Gustavo and Tymo are very good players who also deserve to play football as much as Muller.
Kroos is better playing as ATM than DM, so why change this because Muller has to play as ATM.
The most fair and logical thing to do, is let Muller fight for his starting spot like Kroos did without any National Prejudice

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
He's just feeling the pressure from the Kroos revival, and Robbery both being fit. The constant AM/RM position change doesn't exactly help. Still a class player who I wouldn't change with anyone. Long term the RM gap is his, anyways.
He's only 22, so drops in form are normal.

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
Well, I guess that's because for German players it is considered a big honour to be chosen for the NT, other than, say, the English NT for English playerspUsHa wrote:Every German I believe is playing for the National team better than for the club !

Sell him, he's vastly overrated and pretty average tbh, Schurrle, Kroos and Reus are all better imo.

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
LM has an Arsenal Logo. Maybe he just wants Bayern to put Müller up for grabs so that Arsenal can snatch him upsupra969 wrote:Lionel Messi wrote:Sell him, he's vastly overrated and pretty average tbh, Schurrle, Kroos and Reus are all better imo.

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
I don't understand the hype, surely he'll be benched for good with Kroos getting better by the day, how will he get time with Ribery Kroos Robben and Gomez to displace?supra969 wrote:no offense but selling muller is Blasphemy

Re: Is Muller really lazy ?
Muller will bounce back like a phoenix he's still one of the best youngstars out there, the problem is Kroos, Ribery and Robben are too good.
In any case Muller can not afford to be lazy in training because he's not as technically gifted as his competitors, Ribery, Robben and Kroos. His strength lies in hard-work and good work-rate so he must use that to his advantage in training if he intend to displace Kroos, Robben or Ribery.
But I dont see that happening Anytime soon
