Bonucci stands up for Juve
Leonardo Bonucci has defended his Juventus teammates after their 1-1 draw against Cagliari on Sunday.
The Old Lady moved clear at the top of the standings thanks to Milan’s loss against Inter last night, but their failure to beat the Sardinian outfit has been highlighted by critics.
“We’re top and we’re alone up there,” the defender wrote on his official website on Monday afternoon.
“I wanted to start with that phrase because I’ve heard a lot of criticism aimed at us because we didn’t win.
“I, however, want to remind everyone that we are in first place and we are unbeaten.
“It’s obvious that winning would have been best, but we’ll take this draw and we’ll look to the future with optimism and faith.
“We face Atalanta next and it’ll be a battle like against Cagliari. We have just one requirement and that is to try to win the game.”
The Old Lady, who are a point clear of Milan, have now gone 18 games without defeat. That is their longest unbeaten start to a campaign and surpasses the achievement of the 1949-50 side.
Oddly, all of Juve’s home draws this season have come against sides whose clubs colours are Rossoblu – Bologna, Genoa and Cagliari.

Nobodie's picking on Juve, we're critisizing you!
Get your head in the game and stop making so many errors!

Both krasic and Bonucci are making terrible mistakes. The difference is, one is hardly played and the other one continually makes mistakes over a full match. Also, being a defender your mistakes are often costly.

I don't know why people don't see that when Bonucci is not making mistakes he is the stand out defender in the team. I missed the first 5 minutes of the second half against Cagliari (when he made the mistake) but besides that saw the whole game. He was great. Those mistakes of his will be cut out in time. Our real problem is the inability to put away a game with the many many chances we create.

Re: Bonucci stands up for Juve
Sorry.
Barzagli is the standout defender. He deserves as much praise as anyone else on the team for what he does week in and week out.
Bonucci is average. Not juventus starting XI quality. Too many unforced errors, which unforunately for a CB, mean too many goal scoring opportunities for the opposition.
If we have the best defensive record so far, its due largely to Barzagli and Lich. Chiellini has been average at LB and Bonucci, for me, has been below par.
