Tough match. The league loss to them was a real low point for us in various ways. It's only a cup match, but we have to avenge that loss.

I expect a completely different result as we have a point to prove against La Viola.

Yea, I wouldn't mind seeing that lineup. It would be good to see Curci, Viviani and Caprari get some minutes, as well as get Kjaer back into form. Judging from Luis Enrique's press conference today though, I think he's going to start De Rossi. I could also see Perrotta starting the match.

It's a cup game we should rest a few players and give some of the others a a run out.

We have an important game on Saturday away to Catania.

I agree with Fonz. Curci should get more playing time.

I want revenge!

---------------------

Great 3-0 win for ASRoma, although they didn't start well (first 20 minutes), Fiorentina were dangerous on counter-attacks, but from that point they dominated, created lots of chances, Bojan was Ok, Lamela who scored 2goals was most dangerous player on the pitch, very gd game for Titto who assisted the first 2goals, Borini came on in the last 20 minutes to replace Bojan & scored a goal, actually the way he dribbled the defender was impressive..

Congrats Very Happy

Puyol Thumbs up

Yeah we poor in the first half really poor,Kjaer esp was dodgy and Stek saved our asses on more than one occasion.2nd half completely different bringing Perrotta on for Viviani made the difference smart move by LE.Lamlea and Borini the standout players esp Borini just back from injury as well.We have to make that deal permanent at the end of the season.
The thing i'm most happy about though is it's another clean sheet for us.

Stekelenburg and Lamela for MOTM. Stek saved us again, especially in the first half where Fiorentina's counter attacks were extremely threatening. He did well to stop Ljalic and then Cerci in the second half. Lamela, so much class for a guy his age; kept his cool on both goals, made it seem all too easy.

As for our other strikers, Totti started off slowly, like everyone else for that matter. But of course his passing was decisive, he assisted both goals for Lamela and showed that he's in pretty good shape physically. His altruism on our second goal is of note. Bojan had a decent showing; he worked hard but failed to be fully convincing. Great return for Borini, who even chose the difficult solution on his goal.

Gago played especially well in the second half, while Greco consistently put in some good passes. Viviani's inexperience showed, he had a difficult time getting settled into his position. I prefer him when he plays deeper, basically in the role that Gago was occupying. Perrotta's inclusion made the difference, his run into the box, as well as Totti's aggressiveness, is what led to our first goal.

Taddei suffered against Cassani and Behrami in the opening thirty minutes, but improved as the game went on. Same goes for Cicinho on the opposite side. The Heinze-Kjaer partnership was a little shaky at times, but did relatively well when on the ball. Great not to concede any goals for the third straight game, as well as being able to take our chances when they came.

I'm honestly shocked when Roma get cleansheets. I totally expect you guys to be scored on in the last 10 minutes Razz

Lamela the standout performer of the match for me, although his 2 goals were nothing exceptional they were important and he was involved in every attacking display. Borini also did well, which does not bode well for Bojan, Stek was immense and Gago performed well as a DM, although I think he could do a lot more if he were given more freedom to go forward more often.

Because he was pretty invisible. Roma's midfield was pretty bad in the first half, they didn't control or link with the forwards, and this lead to a lack of chances. In the second half this improved significantly.

We were far too static in the first half. Every time we had the ball at the back, we had to launch it forward because we had pretty much no options. Credit to Fiorentina for defending well early on, but they were visibly tired in the second half. That, along with us being more aggressive, led to us grabbing the lead. All our goals came from their mistakes at the back, which could be chalked down to the inexperience of Camporese, Salifu and so on, but we did well in forcing those mistakes too.

One week he wants to leave, the next he wants to stay. He's incredibly inconsistent and overpaid for what he offers (around 2.6 million euros). His contract ends next summer but I hope we get rid of him sooner.
