Yes, I agree with you, like I said, this game was begging for Lindegaard to start as he had proved over the past two games how assured he is at the back compared to de Gea, who struggles to deal with crosses.

De Gea is 6'4 (or somewhere along those lines) But Yakubu seemed to tower over him and generally bully him, which happens with most physical strikers who come up against him. Not very robust for a giant

Mertesacker suffers from the same affliction

He always gets muscled off the ball, or loses position against strikers, despite being a tower

He doesn't even jump properly for the ball and he's a keeper! He's just waiting for the referee to save him on corner kicks, hoping they'll think he has been fouled by the opponents.

You could see at the last goal he didn't even want to get back up on his feet when failing the first interception - he had already prepared himself for being an utter failure and thus stayed on the ground.

I think it's fair to say that De Gea has begun to look like a bigger vagina than Cristiano against Barca.

Are people actually blaming De Gea for United loss?

United defense got wrecked by Yakubu.

And Berbatov was the one who conceded a penalty.

Everyone on the United team was crap bar Berbatov's two goals. United were never gonna get a result the way they played.

He cost us the goal, so it's fairly understandable that he's getting blame for the loss, however, it should just be "partial blame" as most of our players, bar Nani, Valencia and Berbatov, were poor. Carrick is fantastic in the centre of midfield, but as a centre back against Yakubu -- it's too much to ask.

Obviously he has to be partially blamed and that is what I meant all the United players had to be blamed.

The reactions made me think he conceded the penalty himself and made blunders for the other two goals lol.

Fergie brought De Gea in to be an immediate success, not a 10 year project
