The One 'Big' Signing Empty The One 'Big' Signing

Post by El Chelsea Fuerte Mon Dec 26, 2011 7:24 pm

I think it's clear by now that we need a major signing if we want to comfortably finish in the Top 4.

I also think it's clear that player should have nothing to do with being a GK or a defender.

We need either a finisher or a Modric/Pastore type of player.

Who would your big signing be (I consider that to be a 20m+ player)?

Keep in mind that from our roster we have 1 foreign spot available with Anelka's departure, and if Alex leaves we'll have 2. Part of the reason why I'm happy we're getting Cahill.

Godze or Hazard for me, can't see either coming but a man can dream.

I bet maybe in the summer we will get a left over from Madrid / Barca, like when the Madrid Dutch contingent got shipped out.

I still think that we could do with a RB.

BTW Ramires doesn't play= slow play, no counter attacks... no goals basically.

Of course we could do with an RB. But that can wait, we desperately need someone for up front.

Gray cahill, lol jokes.

I think Joao Moutinho or a big name LW such as Levezzi, Di Maria, Adam Johnson or someone like them.

And a lesser name RW such as Krasic or a young one.

I think Ivanovic is a fantastic RB, i don't think we can find someone better then him.

Hopefully he is back for our next fixture.

I think we desperately need a another midfielder, someone to give us creativity from the middle.

Of course It would be nicer if we had a another winger and move Sturridge to the middle.

We should switch to the 4-2-3-1.

Keep sturridge on the right but play more like this.
Cech
Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole
- - - - Romeu
Ramires - - - - -
- - - - - - Mata - Di Maria
Sturridge - - - - - - -
Torres

cant see us getting Di Maria, but if we could id love it
i think no dount we need another creative mid but modric and pastore are priced out fo the market, same for gotze i think mouthinio could be an option though, although hes a bit slow which i dont like, but tbh im not sure who else, hamsik could be an option but cant imagine napoli seeling for less then 40mil, especialy with CL coming up
another issue is more then likely who ever we buy will be cup ties for the CL......

in terms of cheaper buys which could more add to squad depth what do you guys think of Shane Long and Joe Allen? theyre not going fix our problems this season, but in two or three seasons they could, also i thnk they could bothbe homegrown

tbh no offense to chelsea fans but you chance is not very big of winning the cl so you should concrentrate on the epl . an awesome striker with a good winger like krasic would help you alot.

Didnt Pastore say he wants to move to a bigger club? We should buy him instead of buying another striker or winger, he can also play CL.. and a RB/CB would be welcome

No way would we even get Pastore right now, sure as hell don't want him he's a class player but weak mentality and physically. Would be like a Deco for us IMO, good few games then fade.

If Pato on market yes pls, I wouldn't mind Honda or Kagawa for FPP reasons and the fact that they are good creative players too.

IMO, we only need one AM and I believe the team will be really good and a Top 4 place would be guaranteed

Sturridge---Mata---New guy
Torres

I think it's inevitable that we'll switch to the 4-2-3-1. The major problem right now is that the midfield can't create and is non-existent without a certain Brazilian. All the problems will be solved with a very talented, creative AM who would be able to play anywhere in those three midfield positions. In the double pivot we can put Romeu and Ramires, though Ramires doesn't perform that well in that position for Brazil. We could also put Lampard who was tested there in pre-season and got a positive review from it. And with Meireles and Mikel hanging around as well, our attack will be complete.

According to Lucas's agent (the same for Neymar) we made a 30m euro big for Lucas sometime ago, and he seems to be the perfect player for us in terms of what we need. Ganso (the poster) can fill us more on that Smile

Terry a mediocre player?

In that case why don't you get rid of your mediocre GK?
