A-Rod Shocked just wow. Three HRs on Saturday, gets a day off, and then homers on his 40th birthday. 4th player ever to homer in his teens, 20s, 30s, 40s.

Pujols and A-Rod both thinking it's 2005 or something

The Blue Jays got Tulo, dat lineup. They have to be getting a starter next I would assume, that's what they really need.

Totally blindsided by this trade. We've all been operating under the assumption that we'd be after a starting pitcher or a bullpen arm, but I'm very excited by this trade.

Obviously Tulo is the best SS in baseball, but he's a massive upgrade on Reyes defensively who's cost us 3 games through his errors. Disappointed to give up Hoffman (could be another one like Syndergaard) but as long as we hold onto Stroman, Sanchez and Osuna, the Jays fanbase is happy.

Next logical move would be to move prospects Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Dalton Pompey for a SP, but I wouldn't be surprised if we moved a bat like Collabello.

Texas had a 5 run first , followed by an 11 run NYY 2nd cheers

edit: Chris Young Grandslam Laughing now 15-5 no outs in the 3rd

Yanks are ridiuclous right now. And as a Jays fan, this is a pissoff.

We've got no shot at the Division unless we sweep them in the upcoming series.

Right now we're playing great, hopefully the offense doesn't fall apart completely because guys like CC/Crapuano aren't going to win anything on their own. Plus we have to play Toronto 6 times in early August  silent and probably at least 1 more series after that.

Dodgers got Latos

The #Dodgers, #Yankees and #BlueJays poised to have an all-out bidding war of prospects for #Tigers David Price, once they get the go-ahead.

I really would rather not give up our young guys like we always do in these situations and get a lesser starter, but I also don't want him on the Jays.

Were going for the sweep tomorrow!

Hottest team in baseball and we're 10-1 with Tulo...only game lost was when we blew a 4-1 lead. I'm extremely confident of taking the AL East with one of the best offensively lineups I've ever seen. Even with half decent pitching were almost guaranteed to win, and the Yanks seem to be dropping off

Once the Jays got Price, and we did fck all the pessimist in me said it was all over.

Optimistic look? The Jays are simply not going to keep playing .900 ball. Nor will the Yankees have another offensive stretch THAT terrible. Facing 2 knuckleballers in 3 games fvcked up the whole lineups timing something awful.

Regardless the AL Beast race will likely come down to the last week.

Either division or WC, when Pineda comes back I'll feel really good in a series against anyone with Pineda/Tanaka/Severino and maybe CC if he pitches like he did against the Sox

Last night's Yanks-Jays was probably the best game of the year. That 12 pitch AB to Tulo took a few years off my life.

^ Just read today that Miller-Tulo at-bat was viewed by 9% of all Canadians. 3.14 million people. For a regular season game in August. That's insane.

Yep, the country especially Toronto obviously are supporting the team like we've never seen before. Attendance is up big time, viewing ratings records are being broken every other game and this is all the city is talking about.

Its great going downtown seeing everyone and everything about the Jays in such a hockey crazy city.

Also we've just swept the series vs the Angels and the main topic was the AL MVP race between Trout and Donaldson. JD destroyed him this series puttimg up something like 11 RBI , 3 HR and ALOT of hits. Huge fan of Trout and theres alot of bsll left to be played, but JD is in pole position for the award

No doubt Billy Beane is a great do-more-with-less GM, but giving up Donaldson for fn Lawrie was just scratch

Tied for 1st place, but we'll probably drop tonight's game facing Keuchel tonight. That guy's been ridiculous, so has Kazmir since he got there surprisingly.

When the Astros get Springer back, they'll be interesting in the playoffs. I'm biased toward him but imo, when he got called up last year that's when the Astros started to turn it around. Also Correa is a monster.

edit: just did a little search: Astros 19-21 w/o Springer. 47-33 with.

-----------------------

not gonna up the thread, but:

we sweep the Braves and still couldn't pick up a game. Can someone win a series against the Jays ffs.

also some guy died falling from the upper deck at Turner Field in last nights game. A-Rod got up as a PH, and the guy, who I would guess was drunk, got up to boo and fell like 60 feet. Apparently he hit at least one railing before landing on the concrete steps. Right next to the players families/friends section. A lot of them saw it I guess. Fvcked, the game should've been stopped.

The Yankees just won't go away...they're a team of champions and its showing even without Texeira. We also got a huge break in not facing Tanaka who has owned our asses this year.

We should also have Tulo back for the final series which is a huge lift for our infield. Pennington has been poor defensively whilst Kawasaki offers nothing at the plate. Although Tulo has been pretty ass at the plate himself lately, his defence with Goins gives a big boost to our infield.

AL East Clinched cheers Biggest moment in Canadian baseball in approximately 22 years and the city is buzzing.

I honestly don't see any team stopping us this post season except the Yankees. I think our rotation looks extremely solid with Price, Stroman, Estrada/Dickey and our offense is a juggernaut. I only see the Yankees causing us problems with Tanaka and theyre strong relief staff in Miller and Betances. But if they use Tanaka in the Wild Card game, then I don't think they have a shot tbh.

The Cubs and Pirates also might be the strongest Wild Card game in history. Arrieta v Cole is a monster matchup and I really hope the Cubbies can squeeze through.

Royals-Mets World Series.

I really wanted to see the Cubs make it and win it and confirm BTTF's prediction but they didn't even show up.

Should go at least 6 games, guess I'm going with the Royals

disappointed the Jays couldn't get to the world series, but wow what a ride. as someone who last saw the Jays in the playoffs when I was only 3 years old this was an incredible year. I was there opening day, went to a ALDS and ALCS game. what a incredible year 113 days till spring training!

I don't know, a lot of uncertainty right now, our GM Anthopolous has to sign a new contract too...then get down to player moves. Price has stated how he loves the team and the city but I still expect him to demand a lot of dollars and don't expect the Jays to get a lower deal on him. It depends how much the owners (Rogers Communications) is willing to put in the budget next year. The spike in attendance and TV viewership that came with the Jays run has many believing they will boost the payroll significantly. Also depends what Buerhle and Dickey situations are...I don't know if we pick up Dickeys option and if Buerhle retires then that is a lot of money free'd up too maybe bring back Price and Estrada as well. Plus a full season of Stroman and many expect Sanchez to make a move/push for a starting job next season. Osuna was pencilled in as a future starter as well but the way he took the closers roll this year makes that unlikely now

it will be a interesting winter for Toronto that is for sure.

Should def bring back Estrada, I guess that's probably a sure thing.

Way too early to say, but it should be 1a Toronto 1b NY again in the AL East

and even though I wanted Toronto to lose that Revere strike 3 was some BS.

Odor is a *bleep* bitch

Shoves Bautista then sucker punches him over a hard slide that wasn't even dirty just a bit late no studs tho, meanwhile this cock sucker did this last year https://twitter.com/SBNation/status/650411563229310980

He's lucky Donaldson (who came flying in after) didn't get his hands on this little piece of shit.

Shame we don't play again this year, would love for this asshole to get *bleep* up
