That's why I didn't watch it,I sometimes lack imagination and when it gets too unrealistic I can't enjoy the movie cause it bothers me.

Even though it's a fantasy world, it's still very gritty and "real". Magic is limited to like 3 guys and even then it's nothing extraordinary, and usually because they're demi-gods.
The rest are all normal people with huge balls and great combat skills.
If you enjoyed, say, Game of Thrones, you'd like LoTR even more.

Not to mention magic, beasts of the legend like giant eagles and demons. If he can’t relate to fantasy there’s a good chance he won’t enjoy it.
Game of thrones is a conspiracy scenario taking place in a medieval setting (at least for season one, things are getting more “mystical” in the future). It’s much easier to be accepted by people who don’t relate to fantasy

First time I saw the trilogy was in 2013.
Watched the trilogy over 3 successive days (one each day), could never do a marathon doesn't matter how interesting a film is.
