although I'm not interested on the hobbit's main story and disliked an unexpected journey, I loved the desolation of smaug and I can't wait for the battle of the 5 armies, specially for the LOTR fan service we will get.

The 2nd movie was released Dec. 14th and it became available to purchase in April. I imagine it'll be the same for the 3rd movie.

3rd one might take longer depend on how they release.

I think they will release it as a triology and then also have a extra one with 1-2 hour more time in it

that trailer made me rewatch return of the king.Damn, what a movie. If you dont get goosebumps at some time during that movie, something is wrong with you. Had some tears in my eyes at the end Sad

Unrealistic is the only term applicable to them as the graphics was overdone. Thats the only complaint.

1st one was good but dragged on too long

2nd one I can agree, very engaging, quite good. Better than the 1st

3rd is going to be amazing

None are as good as original LotR however.

They were fine, compared to LOTR they were horrible. So much wasted time, and I have no idea why they decided to make it into 3 movies instead of 2. Most of the first movie could've been cut without losing quality. Just a cashgrab imo.

Also Smaug battle not being in the second, and basically spoiling his fate with trailers and title.

So how did you guys like it?

I wasn't satisfied, They just tried to tie up all the loose ends and complete the story. The movie was waaaaaaaaaay off the book, Being a book reader, hated it to the core.

Tauriel made me cringe every time she came on screen, Thank god she's pretty, She has no business being there.

There was no 5th army.

They didnt show what happened to Bard, Dain and Sauron. ffs

I'd give it a 5.5/10
