We wont sign anyone until wenger sells a player first.

1- We cant sell Chamakh, he is away.

2- Rosicky has been amazing no reason to sell him anymore.

3- Bendtner cant be sold.

4- we cant sell Arshivan anymore we need him Gervinho is away.

5- Abou Diaby is 1000 days away so he will be back soon.

6- We got Henry back.

7. Jack is few weeks away.

8- Sagna is few weeks away

9- Vermaelen looks like he will be back next week.

10- Coquelin played well as LB.

The main guys will have around 2 weeks off.

We need a full back and I don't know if Wenger will sign one or should sign one. I dont ant Wayne Bridge, waste of space and money. I dont want to do Man city any favors.

Tottenham ready to swap Roman Pavlyuchenko for Marseille's Loic
Remy - report

The Premier League high-flyers are keen to boost their firepower
by landing the L'OM talisman, and are willing to sacrifice the Russian
forward in order to push through a deal

January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS. - Page 22 153548hp2

Tottenham
are set to make an offer for Marseille
striker Loic
Remy, according to RMC.

The publication claims that
Harry Redknapp has identified the in-form 25-year-old as the ideal
attacking reinforcement for his side, and will also include fellow
hitman Roman Pavlyuchenko in a cash-plus-player proposal.

However,
the chances of Marseille parting with Remy seem unlikely. The France
international has bagged nine goals in all competition for Marseille
this season, and has proved the Ligue 1 club's most potent threat in
front of goal.

In addition, it is believed that sporting director
Jose Anigo will stand firm on retaining the ex-Nice star's services
during the transfer window, although he is understood to be an admirer
of Pavlyuchenko's talent.

Despite a reasonable haul of 41 goals
in 108 appearances for the Lilywhites, the Russia international has
struggled to find consistency since his arrival from Spartak Moscow in
2008.

L'OM currently sit sixth in the French top-flight despite
enduring a poor start to the campaign, while Spurs find themselves in
third place in the Premier League.

Henry deal has only put Podolski switch on ice as Arsenal prepare £8m summer bid

Arsenal will make an £8million bid for FC Cologne striker Lukas Podolski in the summer now that Theirry Henry has filled the gap up front short term with his loan move from New York Red Bulls.

Henry will make his Arsenal return at the Emirates against Leeds on Monday, but Wenger still wants to add to his forward line after Arsenal have become, in their manager’s words, ‘Robin van Persie dependent’, with neither Marouane Chamakh nor Park Chu-Young looking capable of filling in.

But Henry represents the shortterm solution, with Gervinho and Chamakh away this month at the African Cup of Nations.

He will return to New York in February, meaning Arsenal will move for Podolski in the summer, after the German this week said that he favoured staying at Cologne until the end of the season, to be sure of making Germany’s first team at Euro 2012.

But though Cologne managing director Claus Horstmann claimed he was ‘optimistic’ that Podolski would sign a new contract, the striker has just one year left on his deal come June and is keen to play in the Premier League.

Podolski, 26, has scored 14 goals in 16 games in the Bundesliga this season and hopes to be a key part of the German national team at Euro 2012.

Arsenal target Yoann Gourcuff will not be leaving Lyon in January according the French club's president Jean-Michel Aulas.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move for the 25-year-old since he came to prominence as a teenager at Rennes.

Comparisons with Zinedine Zidane were rife when he joined AC Milan in 2006 but he failed to settle in his two seasons in Serie A and is now at Lyon after a season at Bordeaux.

Arsene Wenger was close to doing a deal for the midfielder in the summer when he was looking to replace Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri at short notice but he missed out.

Gourcuff has started just six league games this season, which could encourage Wenger to try his luck again, but Lyon appear reluctant to do business and want him to prove his worth.

"Yoann Gourcuff will not leave the team," Aulas said. "The newspapers are getting it wrong.

"We need him and to add for the Champions League. And if he stays he can use his performances to get himself in the France team for the Euros."

Andrey Arshavin holds the key to Arsene Wenger’s spending in the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old Russian striker who cost £17.5million when signed from Zenit St Petersburg three years ago is regarded as surplus to requirements at The Emirates.

He has failed to reproduce his best form on a consistent basis and manager Wenger would listen to offers, in the region of £12m, for the man who will captain Russia in Euro 2012 this summer.

Liverpool and Arsenal are keen to trigger Demba Ba’s transfer release clause.

A £10million bid is needed to allow the Premier League’s in-form striker to speak to other clubs.

Newcastle chiefs were hoping the contract detail would not become public and they now expect top clubs to consider making offers.

People Sport can reveal that Arsenal and Liverpool are thinking seriously about trying to tempt Ba away from St James’ Park.

Arsenal were interested even before news of the release fee came to light, and Liverpool are keen, too, but with Senegal’s Ba off to the Africa Cup of Nations, they are believed to be willing to wait until the end of the season if nobody else bids this month.

A long-standing leg problem resulted in Stoke pulling out of a £7m deal with Hoffenheim for Ba last season. But Newcastle took a chance and picked him up from West Ham on a free transfer.

Newcastle, though, are determined to hold on to their goal machine and plan to look at Ba’s contract at a special meeting of their top brass this week – even though Ba is out of the country.

A Toon source said: “We have talked to both the player and his agent and they have insisted that Demba Ba is happy here and has no intention of leaving.

“He was married the day before he arrived here and his family are settled on Tyneside.”

I read a post in this forum saying the release clause is more than 10M...

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes a loan deal can solve his left-back injury crisis.

The Gunners are currently missing defenders Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna, Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs.

Super agent Rob Segal was at the club's training ground on Friday, suggesting a busy January window for Arsenal.

Wenger has given a trial to Saas Al-Mukhaini, a defender with Omani side Fanja SC who was recommended by his pal and current Oman national team coach Paul Le Guen, and is eyeing Lyon’s Aly Cissokho.

He said: “I don’t want a permanent solution. I will do it [a loan deal] if I can.”

Daily Mirror is also linking Cissokho with Arsenal but I guess we will most likely end up with Saas Al-Mukhani at the end...

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is lining up a &poind;10 million bid for Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez.
The Daily Mail says the Anderlecht star has caught the eye of Arsene Wenger's team of scouts and they are ready to make a bid.

Suarez is rated at just under £10million by the Belgian side but it is unlikely that the Gunners would be prepared to pay that much.

Fiorentina are interested in Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh.

The Viola are in the market for a new forward after selling Italian international Alberto Gilardino to Genoa this week.

Chamakh is a long target for Fiorentina.

We can buy without selling, but will have to unregister someone from the squad if it's a foreign player. So we may as well sell that player.

Yeah, that's what I thought hmm

Some info on Spartak Moskow striker Welliton from talkSPORT

January Transfer Thread: Rumours and BS. Mostly BS. - Page 22 Welliton_6

Luis Suarez will be missing for eight games and Andy Carroll can't buy a goal, while Arsenal seem to have just Robin Van Persie scoring at the moment, so it's no surprise reports are linking the two with a transfer for Spartak Moscow hotshot Welliton.

Name: Welliton
Date of Birth: 22/10/86
Born: Para, Brazil
Position: Striker
Club: Spartak Moscow
International: No caps

WHAT'S THE LATEST NEWS?
Liverpool and Arsenal are set to fight Serie A and Bundesliga clubs Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund to sign Spartak Moscow ace Welliton, the striker that has been booting the ball into the back of the net for fun.

DID YOU KNOW?
1) Born in the northern state of Para in the town of Conceição do Araguaia, Morais Soares Welliton moved to Russia in 2007 to join Spartak Moscow after a spell at Brazilian club Goiás.

2) Upon his arrival in Russia, fans of his new club subjected him to racist taunts when they displayed a banner reading: “The number 11 belongs to Tikhonov. Monkey go home,” referring to former player Andrei Tikhonov.

3) In 2010, Welliton bagged consecutive hat-tricks in the Russian Premier League. Against Lokomotiv Moscow he walked home with the match ball, then repeated the feat the following week against FC Tom Tomsk, which he scored in just six minutes.

4) He topped the Russian Premier League's scoring charts in both the 2009 and 2010 seasons and currently has seven in 15 starts in the 2011/12 campaign.

5) In August's Moscow derby between Spartak and rivals CSKA, opposition goalkeeper and Russia no.1 Igor Akinfeyev was stretchered off after an aerial collision with Welliton. Authorities then banned the striker for six games in September.

THEY SAY
“He has overcome all problems with passage into a new country. He is young, fast, technical, an ideal artist who acts along the entire front line of attack, not just along the flanks as this past season.” Former Russia and Spartak Moscow ace Aleksandr Mostovoi

HE SAYS
“I won’t wait for a long time for an invitation to Brazil's national team in case I have an opportunity to play for the Russian side. If all necessary documents are ready and I get a concrete invitation, I would say 'yes' immediately and start playing for Russia.”

Sounds like a killer. No way 7m is enough but I think we should go as high as 12-15 to sign him because we're in need and he'd be good long term.
