that would be nice, but it will be very hard to reach the kind of amount of member Goal Forum had, given that many people dicscovered goal forums through the site goal.com which is very famous...



anyway, great that the new forum exist,
especially for us with the busy summer we can expect, we will have a good amount of speculations to deal with i guess^^

Just saw goal allowing a sticky thread to inform about this forum . Hopefully other regular members see that and join here too . Atleast our Liverpool community .

  1. New Transfer Thread (already done)
  2. 3 New Threads by "GK & Defense" , "Midfield", "Attack" to be created, where we will discuss each part tactical wise. How potential transfer targets affect players already in those positions etc. At starting post of each thread, the players discussed will be identified. For example: Suarez a striker. not discussed in midfield.
  3. Highlight/Multi-media thread. All (pictures, videos of highlights, etc) in one thread or spread out in several?
  4. 2 threads for each game. One for Pre-match & In-game talk, one for Post-game. Post Game can/will include a poll with 5 to 6 options for MotM and player ratings can be posted in it as well.
  5. Stickied History Thread; people could post whatever about LFC's history: matches, players, seasons, events, managers & other personnel etc.
  6. Statistics Thread Updated After every game Including:
    + Starting XI & Substitutions
    + Goals & Assists
    + Average Ratings & MOTM
    + Chalkboard Analysis
    + Link to the highlights of that game
    + etc
  7. Formations Thread? Youth Thread?
  8. New Score Prediction Thread to be made when new season starts (decided)


There we go... I think that about summarizes the discussion we had.

Well, I'm certainly glad that enough people were sufficiently devoted to rebuild the old goal forum. It would've been a pity for it to simply disappear.

On a separate note, the aesthetics of this forum are far more pleasing. Not nearly as dreary and depressing as the old black and grey. It had a somewhat post-apocalyptic feel to it.
