I almost forgot about this

I keep forgetting about this as it happened a long time ago but with all the talk about the winter transfer market coming up I figured I would bring this back up. Not trying to start a mass speculation but we do know of at least two players coming in January either Lopez or Tevez and yes unfortunately another mystery player scenario. But here was the article I read way back in August I can't remember if there was a thread on this.

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani, joined by Sporting Director Ariedo Braida, met Genoa President Enrico Preziosi and his Director of Sport, Stefano Capozucca, on Monday night at a restaurant, “Giannino.”

Galliani and Preziosi may be good and close friends, but they almost always meet in order to discuss market strategies and according Preziosi, he and Milan, Galliani-Braida, have agreed a deal for January.

“I closed a deal with the Rossoneri, but only in January you will see which player it is,” Preziosi told Sky Sport 24 last night as he walked out of the restaurant. Sportmediaset claims that the player the two agreed about is Genoa’s Kevin Constant, who was linked with Milan before, when he was playing at Chievo

In either outcome, both Constant and Veloso are not exactly the answer in midfield. If I remember correctly, there was rumours in the last transfer widow about this potential deal with Genoa, but the player in was Kucka (spelling check). Although he wouldn't fit the bill for what we need anyway.

After having an actual look at Genoa's squad, apart from Merkel, there are so few players on that team that I actually want playing for Milan. In recent years, Genoa have had some pretty good names on their payroll but Merkel and Veloso are the only ones doing it for me at the moment... Maybe Palacio but he pales in comparison to the other forwards we could get

maybe the agreement is another boateng type deal

I think it might be Veloso, then Van Bommel can go back to PSV
