Seeing that even the slightest banter is not allowed between rivals, there's really not much for me to enjoy on this site. As some of the people who actually saw the mild threads i made on the general board and the responses, there was absolutely nothing going on to validate any action. But whatever.

I have some people's contact info here. I'm going to spend some cash (probably 1000x what's been spent here) and build a state of the art message board + chat with professional mods that know how to handle things.

For those i won't see again, hala madrid.

IPB, Vbulletin, SMF, XenForo. Sport if u ever check back to this thread take note of the 4 names i listed here. I highly recommend IPB.

and to the mods heck no will i suggest current forum software. I wudnt touch phpbb with a 10 pole if i was to do a forum based website. but i understand why u picked forumotion: free and easy.

Yeah he plans to spend a thousand euros and hire professional moderators(w/c is kinda ironic because they are more strict would probably ban him after what he did.) just for a 25% warning in a football forum.

I hope he clears his head and settles this. Losing a member ain't fun after all.

Its unfortunate what happened. I know how tough it is being a mod or being on the other side, just a normal user.

Things are never perfect so I would recommend just letting things slide once or twice, that's an advice for everyone. I know some actions may bug you from a mod and the same can be said the other way around so getting upset or escalating something is never really positive

The reason why I left...

Post this on my behalf Florian since there's misinformation out there:
- I posted a Barca video during clasico week just for fun. It wasn't anything people hadn't seen before and it was just for banter. There were no egregious posts in them. If there were... fine, delete or lock the thread. But the guys on there were having fun with it. Regardless, Franchise decides to lock the thread and make some stupid final comment.

- I sent a PM to Franchise that he shouldn't delete threads where nothing had happened. The threat of something happening is not enough of a reason imo. Let rivals banter amongst themselves until it actually gets out of control. Otherwise, it's just clasico week fun.

- After sending the PM, i made another thread.

- Franchise locked the thread and took 50% off, not 25%. He also threatened to ban me without a problem in the thread as opposed to sending me a PM. He subsequently sent me a PM that was pretty ridiculous.

- I PM'd the other mods that Franchise was abusing his power.

- The response i got is that he was justified since i was obviously trolling. Well, duh! It's clasico week. And none of the rules were broken.

- This isn't my first incident with this Franchise/Dani mod and i just got tired of it. I really have better things to do than argue my point over and over again.

- Instead of getting more annoyed and continuing the argument, i left. Simple as that.

- I have no issues with the other mods other than the fact that they need to watch their own and correct mistakes amongst themselves as well.

About the Franchise thing

It wasnt really a banter when it provokes the Barcelona fans and which would obviously have led to more trouble.

The reason it was closed was because we made clear rules that Any Threads like them, started by either of the fans will be deleted/locked. Jiopsi has 50% for a reason, so does LM. Sportszcy wasnt the only person to get a warning.


Franchise DID NOT give him 50% straight away. He gave him 25% for creating another thread like that despite the other one being locked. Then he lashed out at Franchise and no idea waht they talked via PM.

Once again, this did not warrant an action like this.

That Franchise kid is immature and petty, I'm not sure how he fooled anyone into letting him become a moderator.

Using authoritative wording and having a pompously self-assured tone =/= fair & just, or indicate intelligence in any way.

not pointing any fingers but some mods throw power around like it actually means something. this is an internet forum rules are there for a reason BUT when it comes down to it were all people posting on an internet forum, in real life this whole authority thing counts for nothing.
