Maradona? Van Basten? However, these three clearly form the top three, so whatever order isn't really all that relevant nor quantifiable.

Platini = very underrated player. People acting like Maradona should have run away with this need to take the time and watch the magic that was Michel Platini in the mid-eightites. The original Zidane, dude was untouchable back in the day, and he won more than Maradona.

Maradona was technically better and probably has more "highlight reel" material than platini, but the dude was a beast, played in a consistantly winning team, and didnt have an egrigious ending to his career
