a few times... barring a few instances of ray wilkins the sky commentators are usually reasonable... and as far as league games go, when showing an english game they stick to talking about english football and for la liga games they usually bring a foreigner...

Balotelli have better skill than Messi have at 19 and stronger and fadster than Ronaldo. 2-3 yars from today he be better than both.

Creatively....he will probably never be as good as Messi........however he has physical talent to spare so in his own right he may be able to reach that general level..........but it's a stupid comparison.

He's a freaking Prima Punta, what the hell do you expect him to do in that role. Is he a support striker? Is he a winger? Is he a midfielder? No. His role is to find open space, position himself and score. And that is what he did, with style.

First off, EPL commentators are pretty good minus the few odd ones who really love the Queen and England to pieces. Also, nothing entirely wrong with Mancini saying Balo could reach Messi and Cristiano level. It is if Balotelli would reach there is the more pertinent issue.

Mancini said something which is very pertinent to this whole fulfilling potential debate.

He said Balo does not work hard at training. No matter how talented you are, if you dont work hard when you are training, you wont reach the top. If he keeps this up and does not hone his talent, then he will remain just another good player!

Dnt know why people are comparing him to messi, balotelli is balotelli not messi or c.ronaldo.

Balotelli will become a great player in his own right !!

Vastly different players but I will say this, for all the money City has spent, if Balotelli doesn't play, I'm not really amped to watch them.

There is just something about him, everyone holds their collective breath waiting to see what he is going to do next. He definitely has that special factor that only a few players have.

By that logic Freddy Adu should be better than Messi because he was better than Messi when he was 13.

Balotelli can develop into a great player....at the level where Messi is now....but he will never have the same style or be as creative.He play's a different position......if you want an apt comparison......perhaps if he works hard enough and avoids injuries and get's the right breaks he can develop into someone like R9....who at his peak was as good as Messi.
