Question: Chance of Hawks coming to power in the US soon?

Been reading speech of Mitt Romney who is supposed to be the head of Republican party in next elections?

The guy is clearly Maccein in disguise, and even Bush was not so aggressive in his speeches.

Some of his quote from context:

"21 st century will be US century"

"liquidate Putin's Empire of evil" (lawls it is crumbling itself no need for you)

"superiority of American nation"

"not excusing before anyone in name of USA"



Thats very disturbing.

Lol, Obama is more of an extremist in american terms than romney. Further Romeny basically founded Bain's LBO arm, a great great business mind.

Romney will win the republican nomination. every few weeks a new name gains a few points in the polls (bachmann, perry, cain, now gingrich), but they always come back down. honestly i think romney is the only one who is remotely electable, but even so i dont think he stands a chance against obama. the republican field this election cycle is really, really weak, and we all saw how smoothly obama's election machine runs a few years ago.

but overall i dont think that the american political trend is towards more hawkish policy. i think (and hope) that there is an emerging progressive movement that will soon become more mainstream.
