Bruce has two more games
Wolves (A)
Blackburn (H)
If we don't get a win or don't get any points, Bruce will be sacked

Why keep 2 games like that? Why not sack him now itself if there is a loss of confidence...

Re: Bruce has two more games
Its a difficult situation
Our defence is actually pretty good, statistically one of the best in the league.
Our midfield is creating plenty of chances and passing the ball exceptionally well, better than I can ever remember us doing. We have actually been playing pretty well, all be it not picking up points.
Our problem is in front of goal, after we sold Bent, at the end of last season we had injury problems to Welbeck and Gyan. that left us very weak. It was clear we needed more forwards.
This is down to Bruce letting the strikers go and not replacing them. I can understand the philosophy of getting rid of players like Gyan & Bent who are just interested in money. But we will never get anywhere giving in too easy. Need to take a spurs like approach like what they did with Modric. Failing that actually sign some players to replace the ones we loose.
Sacking Bruce would cos us heavily financially paying millions in compensation. This money could be invested into the squad to invest in the forwards we so desperately need.
If we keep him till Jan and invest in 1 or 2 players our season could be transformed dramatically. We also have Campbell coming back from injury.
Problem is it might be harder now to attract a quality forward to a team that's struggling with a under fire manager.
And if it fails that will be less money for a new manager to spend on players.
I dont think we should start being fickle and making knee jerk decisions to appease the fans. Look at the mess that got Newcastle into forcing managers out every few months.

Re: Bruce has two more games
While i agree sacking managers every 5 mins like we did is definitely not the way to go......
Bruce record since the sale of Darren Bent has been beyond abysmal ( its almost like he's acting as a double agent for us lol)
I personally feel a new manager might be what Sunderland needs.....
But what you said is an issue and will be interesting to see how you do, you are definitely too good to go down.....
But so were we so you never know i suppose.

To be fair Bruce has had a lot of problems but if he does stay he'll just get more abuse. Nearly the whole of the SOL was booing or shouting Bruce out when Wigan scored
