Obviously Deb finding out was going to eventually happen at some point since it nearly happened last season, I just thought they'd put it on the backburner. I do think they threw it in just because they had done everything else, though.
I liked the last line too, fitting end for a religious themed season.
Edit: And even before Deb was all into Dexter, I thought when she found out, she was going to be more accepting than we all think. Still feel that way obviously. Why did Dexter use the church as a kill room when Deb was the one that told him to be there? And after the whole Deb dreaming of Dexter thing, and how real that looked, could the last scene have been a dream too? I personally don't think so but it's a possibility.
I'm interested also to see where they go with the Louis thing now. What was the point of Travis opening the package? His prints are now on the hand, but I don't know what that accomplishes. Either way I think next season is shaping up to be better than this one.

a) Harrison dies
b) Dexter dies/gets caught
c) Deb finds out
I've to say I don't like the love direction with Deb. I don't like Deb that much, and she is his sister.
Solid finale though.

I wonder if Dexter will tell Deb about Trinity, the Ice Truck Killer, the Bay Harbor Butcher etc.
So looking forward to next season just based on that ending

- I don't think it's a guarantee that she'll accept it but it's a good option. How I see it: a. She turns Dex in(possible, but unlikely direction I think, and Dex would have to kill her eventually I assume). b. She accepts it. Or doesn't like it, but won't turn Dexter in. c. She even goes along with it, as an accomplice(imo the most unlikely but you never know with the writing lately)
And if Deb gets close enough to Travis, she will know that Dex is the Bay Harbor Butcher. The cut on the face was known to police as the signature of BHB if I remember correctly.

- Pretty decent finale, I could see Deb walking in on it from a mile away though, since they didn't make the Dexter vs Travis the focal point of the finale but focused it on Deb.

Intrigued by this Louis character, I believe that he is a third brother and will indeed be the main villain for next season and Dexter will probably confess to Debra and she will accept it and be killed by Louis later. IDK. Probably was my least favourite season, but still, good.

yeah technically, its not incest but they do act like brother and sister for so many seasons, and they may not be blood related but seeing them making love on the show would be down right gross. it would get you thinking of all brother sister relationships n stuff which is freaky if you get what i mean

Dexter is awesome, so is Burn Notice and White Collar... like these 3 of them so badly i bought all season DVDs... pity had to fork out so much money knowing u can download from net.... but worth it ...

- Pretty average season finale tbh. The episode lacked tempo, too many bugs and unrealistic actions (the scene on the roof for example). I think the Louis will be main character in new season, probably he is another serial killer. Debra will forgive his brother, Dexter will tell her about The Codex.

Just started watching this show, used to CSI types of shows but Dexter's character is really awesome and so's the whole idea of the show. Surprised that this thread is idle.

They revealed so much it's absurd. I guess they want to end it soon.
All in all looks like a pretty fast paced season, it's looks like it's going to be good, hopefully better than Weeds, the new season is just awful, I gave up on it, showtime really needs to stop dragging shows on.
