we're so unlucky Suarez hits the woodwork twice against Aston Villa. And these were the type of woodwork shots that usually go in. Underside of the bar and inside of the post both miraculously bouncing out.

It's funny how we're still in the "recovery phase" yet we're unlucky to be 2nd right now because of the woodwork. Can you imagine how good we are going to play with a few marquee signings and when Stevie + Leiva are back. Very Happy

Then again. Ladder is all that counts. :\

Are we 1 from 6 in penalties this season now?

If we had a player who could consistently score penalties we'd be top 4 at the moment.

Isn't it 1 in 5? Misses include Suarez, Kuyt, Carroll and now Adam. Or am I missing one?

I thought Kuyt was a great PK-taker. The very fact we had to use four (at least) PK-takers underlines our weakness in this area.

This is where the injury of Gerrard has costed us.

FOUR missed PK! All these in EPL! How many points have been lost!

Kuyt has been a very reliable penalty taker for us, over the years. It was quite a shock to see him fail to score... but it did happen.
