He did well at Ajax too and did alright last season. Similar to how Benzema did for Lyon.

That's the thing MT compares him to Aguero and Benz.

Both have been poor this season, i'm of the opinion you don't hold fixed opinions based on talent levels and rate players on what they are actually producing right now.

Suarez is head and shoulders above both of them at the moment as are a lot of strikers at the moment.

Who knows next season he might suffer a dip, but right now along with Cavani, SES, Reus, Falcao he is one of the most desirable forwards in Europe's top 4 leagues.

Don't count Messi, CR and RVP as i consider them untouchable.

Not to mention that he's doing superbly for Uruguay. He should join Barca. Suarez vs. Pepe.

Dutch league is very weak (no offense). And Benzema molested CL and big teams while at Lyon all before the age of 21. Ligue is also much better than the dutch league; Madrid and others were investing in upside with Benz... Suarez is already 26. Very good player, no doubt. But his first year at Liverpool was not good at all. This is his break out year in a good league.

I just don't trust EPL tbh. Tactics are too meh to really judge.

Well Portuguese league isn't rated all that highly either and that's where Falcao played.

Suarez is a top player, would improve any team. Really hate his antics though, would be a tough thing to get over if he moved to a club I supported, but his ability is unquestionable.

Suarez is a borderline Word class player if not world class. I am with mt on this one.

come on. just look at uefa coefficients. the dutch league is 9th behind such leagues as Ukraine and Russia. It's a really terrible league, which is a shame. It used to be decent.

RVP isn't untouchable, he only does good in the EPL. In the Champions League, he's a no-show. and for his national team as well, but you could kind of say that about both Messi and CR.

Anyways, I highly doubt Suarez will leave Liverpool this season. Next season, yes, if they fail to qualify for the CL.

He's having a wc year in EPL. You had Demba Ba, Bent, Carroll and others have really good years too. He's more talented than those guys. BuT my point is that i won't overrate a player on his performance in one year, without CL and on a mid table team. If he were in his early 20s, i'd be a lot more excited. But he's not... so i tend to get more cautious. if he has a similar year next year, then yes.

I meant as in Man U won't sell him and he won't leave.

thing is mou, there are players like Aguero or Benzema for which you cant talk about potential because we have seen it in a consistent basis before. So you know it's actual reality in their cases

it's not the same as talking about say Balotelli who has never produced anything in his career, yet touted as the most talented guy around. that's a waste of everyone time.

it's easy to see when top players are having dips in form. pretty sure even if RVP wasnt scoring as much as last year you would still want him badly in your team, because you know he has got the goods.

Suarez has had good seasons before this season too. He's getting better every season.
