Re: David "El Guaje" Villa
When is he coming back? Wasn't he supposed to come around this time and have some first team training?

"Villa is a serious doubt," Del Bosque noted. "We are worried, it is very hard to call up someone if they cannot play a single match
Tell me this isn't so.

Good to see him back. Do you reckon he will start tomorrow or will Tito save him for a brief appearance in the SuperCopa?

Didn't cry a bit but as I said in chat, I had the biggest banana grin for such a long time. So happy for him, what a dream return.

Villa
The perfect comeback. You could see how much it meant to him to be back.
And he has the Eye of the Tiger look in his eyes.
Madrid beware.

Jermain Defoe and Pizarro... Huge surprises.
I know he's got his limitations... But I've always thought he was a bit underappreciated in England because he's small, Defoe.

Re: David "El Guaje" Villa
Berbatov 6th surprised me. He's been around a while and I'm certainly a big fan of his and always have been, but I didn't expect him to be so far up, ahead of Ibrahimovic even, albeit by just 1 goal. Pizarro also a surprise as Kizz pointed out. Defoe not too big of a surprise for me honestly.

Re: David "El Guaje" Villa
Defoe has been playing for 12-13 season now.. he has an average of 15+ goals per season, not a big number for a forward but for 13 seasons in a row.. its counts...

Re: David "El Guaje" Villa
Defoe is very underrated in my opinion. I mean, I dont think he could ever start for a CL team and all that, but he could be in the squad.
He has superb finishing with both feet, he is stronger on the ball than he looks and he is quick. His only real flaw is he shoots too much and has no vision...like most old school 9's to be honest.
I am not actually surprised by Pizzaro..he is VERY talented. Injuries and attitude have been a bigger problem. He could of made it at Chelsea if the timing was different.

Meh, feasting on Dutch league defences and open German games. His ratio in Serie A and La Liga are more telling.
Not to say he isnt a good striker, he is of course.

Huntelaar scored just 15 goals in 50 games he played for Real Madrid and ACMilan..
Bit just he started in just 28 of these 50 games... for some reason, coaches at these teams didn't trust him enough !
Its True that most of his goals are in Dutch and German League (not the best in europe but they are 6th and 3rd respectively)!
But, he also scored 34 goals in 59 goals for Holland (could soon become their all-time top-scorer surpassing Kluivert's 40 goals)

Re: David "El Guaje" Villa
He was treated bizarrely by Madrid thats for sure... No idea why they bought him and then used him like that.
I think it may be that these teams want more than just a pure scorer... However, I think this player can always be very useful. eg. Van Nistelrooy
