WOW, I knew that Serie A had some issues here and there drawing fans to the stadium, but this is flat out pathetic. These are both good teams with good established players and young exciting players that play en exciting brand of football. Not to mention this game is pretty important to both clubs. I mean it looks like there's less then 5,000 people there.

I like Serie A so this isn't a dig at it but MLS draws more people then this and I'm not talking about the good clubs.

I know right, it's going to be hard to hold on to players with this kind of support. It has to be a little depressing to walk out for a home game against a really good team and have little to no support.

And yes, Di Natale is amazing. It's just a matter of time until he kills you.

Udineses is now my second favorite Serie A team, really impressed.

i dunno, might be because the country is on the brink of financial collapse.

Serie A need foreigners to support new smaller facilities, this is dreadful

as far as i know the attendances are low because

1) they can't be bothered to go
2) they introduced some security card entrance thing into stadiums which lots of people hate

The comentator said there are aproximately 15,000 attendance out there ..

Serie A NEVER has games on fridays though, let alone Friday Nights

Also Udinese's attendance problem is exacerbated because they have a 41K seat stadium when they should have a 20-25K stadium

If they had 15k in Cesena's stadium it would seem fine, their stadium is just above their weight in terms of attendance

I think a big part of the problem is the ridiculous regulations on who can get tickets aswell as them being overpriced.

Udine has a population of 99,000. Cologne has a population of over 1 million. Sheesh, if ten percent of Udine's went to the stadium it would only be 9,000 people.

I think Udinese are only allowed to have 30 k anyway, because of some security crap

Attendence looked deceivingly small, there was about 15k there. Still not great but Udine is a small place. the ground is being rebuilt from next summer to a smaller 24kground.
