Neymar or Bale?

Both of these guys have been linked to us, it's unknown when or if we will even sign either and we can't sign them both (realistically anyways) so which would you guys prefer down the line? Neymar's criticisms include his frame and the fact that's he's unproven in Europe while Bale would have a hefty price tag although it does depend on when we move for them, and again, if.

Also, Deulito might blow up before we move for either player, but even considering that who would u go for?

I wouldnt want Bale ever, period. Kick and run guy who is only effective with space to run into..which is never given to us. Of all players we are linked to, he might be the worse fit.

Automatically Neymar is a better option.

Bale as a left sided lesser skilled version of Dani Alves, maybe..but I am not intrested in paying 40m or whatever.

Between the two Neymar...100%.

Although I fully believe Gerard Deulofeu will fulfill his galactic potential and own the left flank. But that's just me...and Khaled :lol!:

I like Bale. I think he would do well as right winger for us.

He could also do well as left back, but it would be mad to play both him and Dani Alves. Not good playing with two full backs so offensive, and he doesn't have the stamina to run up and down all the time as Alves.

Neymar can become a better player than Bale, but I don't like his attitude. So It's a tie for me.

Neymar for three reasons ordered by the relevance:

1. There is not option for Neither.
2. Just because RM want him so bad.
3. I like him better than Bale.

Alves is supposed to bring the ball up for Brazil, dribble, send in great crosses, and basically act like a typical rampaging full-back, which he can't do at all. The way you portrayed Bale, "kick and run guy who is only effective with space to run into", is a perfect way to describe Alves.

He does well for Barca, where there are consistently acres of space down the right to run into, yet he's on the verge of utter garbage for Brazil, where he has to actually defend and do something with the ball. Coincidence? Nope.

Dani Alves is a kick and run guy with no technique and no defensive skill.

Meh Bale would be fantastic for Barca.

The 3 cb...2 wb system would make for a rock tight defense without sacrificing anything in attack since 1/2 or the Cb's would naturally be Dm's anyway.

I personally don't see what neymar could add to Barca that they don't already have.......I mean it would be a similar signing like the one we made by signing Sahin.....

Personally I think he would throw off the Balance of the attack.Plus....you already bought Sanchez.......who is more suited since he's comfortable hugging the touchline.

Neymar....just like Villa will always float in to score goals....Pedro already does that.

This would NEVER work.

Not only are you sacrificing one of the better finishers in the world in Pedro....but you're throwing three forwads on who NEED the ball to be effective.Couple that with 2/3 midfielders who also Need the ball to be effetive and you're in for disaster unless you're planning to have 100 % posession every game.



By the way..David Villa is not in clear decline.I'll believe that when he actually fails to show up for an international tournament or big game.

People on here saying Bale wouldn't fit should really get a grip. pep has proven himself to be a genius, look at how masch has changed, he is now one of the best Cbs in la liga, who would have said that when he joined? With the right coaching Barca can change Bale into anything they want. He is hard working and has some good traits so he will be fine. In Pep you should trust!

We dont play a 3 centerback with 2 wingback system and I dont see how we ever will.

Too many great player will have to be on the bench and its terrible system to press in so it would make us such defensively.

Pep is great, but he isnt magic.


Bale is great at running into space and crossing..things he cant do for us. How would buying a player whos best attributes we cant use make sense?
