AC Milan won't win the CL... Updated on the first page!

AC Milan will fail in Europe,next year. The reason is simple, Seedorf+Pirlo+Gattuso were a world class trio who could play against anyone on their day. All of them aren't present now or too old. What do we have there?

-Mark van Bommel
-K.P. Boateng (average)
-Ambrosini
-Strasser
-Merkel
.......
I could go on with Flamini etc. All of them are more or less destroyers with very little to no creativity. They desperately need 2 creative players in CM area or they won't win anything in Europe , next year...
I'd say, Milan needs Fabregas or Ganso more than any team :lol!:

Diamond with Cassano on the tip of it. Looks good, except the one who is the deepest should be able to distribute the ball all over the field (MVB) Van Bommel is good but not that good, 1 year left in him
The formation requires both fullbacks to go up and one of the striker to go wide. Only your left fullback can do it properly and only Pato offers width in striker position
You need a right fullback who can attack and a very creative man deep in midfield Also, Robinho+ Ibra is the worst combination possible ( either Pato+ Ibra or Pato+ Binho). You need a speedy backup for Pato
It makes 3 signings in total to keep that formation working in Europe

We failed in Europe with your 'creative' Seedorf - Pirlo - Gattuso.

How can you say this before the market ends? What happens if we sign on of Cesc, Bastien or Ganso? And Boateng, Strasser and Merkel are all very young and have huge potential.

Allegri's style does not need 3 creative centre mids in midfield. It requires two hard working mids and a playmaker usually.

With AC Milan's attack and outstanding defence they will still go far and trouble alot of teams not matter whats in the middle of the park.

They could only play catenaccio against stronger teams with that midfield. Did you watch Milan vs. Tottenham both legs? They were unable to create when they were asked to. Basically, score against Milan first, park the bus and if you do it properly, they won't be able to come back...

TBH Chelsea need a crative player just as much E.g cesc.

Cesc is rumored for Milan? I don't see why he'd move unless Silvio finds some loophole for extreme tax $$$ to use in his contract.

You mean hoof the ball to Ibra tactics? Even for counter attacks you need a passing outlet in midfield...

According to calciomercato we will offer 35 million+Emanuelson.

And to the OP, if we keep this current midfield we will definitely fail but the transfer season is far from over. Ganso, Pastore, Cesc or Hamsik may arrive then we'll have a monster of a midfield.

You would've been right had you posted this 1 year earlier.

You seem to imply that we will keep the mid as it is , which is false. We know where our strengths and weaknesses lie. Quite rightly did you mention our defeat to spurs over two legs had to do with our midfield not being able to create, but you forget to mention that during that period we had none of our first choice midfielders availible , also Cassano and Mvb were cup-tied. Thus forcing us to play Merkel , Strasser and Thiago Silva in midfield.

Also that second leg we completely dominated, and robinho should've put his chance away, but im not gonna cry over spilt milk either way had we limped through we'd have met Real and probably get beaten.

Yes we have too many destroyers, but like someone who had said in the forums already, ' if ever the bus had to be parked, Milan would have the biggest bus '.

We could be contenders for cl next season but lots of things must go our way first, getting that quality replacement for Seedorf and Pirlo is a must.

you know ive watched quite a few milan games with all their stars there

and most of the time they play horrendous like the copa game, and most of the time still wins due to a late goal from pato or ibra or someone

if anything i think you need a agressive player in the midfield not the cassano kind but someone like lass/wilshere or someone

just my opinio though

their defense looks well settled now..they hav fixed their FB probs..just like inter had a few yrs ago ,they have worries in mf..getting another destroyer wont help..they need a creative mf at all costs..i'd choose hamsik coz he is very versatile..

hopefully they find a good playmaker, win a couple of cl's in the next few years, and take over madrid's record

No, but he could've played as the TQ in the first leg instead of seedorf, which could've forced Allegri to play seedorf in the Lcm role , a role he has exceeded at beyond all expectation.

Also MvB is a superstar Dm for us, apart from the Coppa games, we've never conceded more than 1 goal when Mvb starts. There were many things going wrong for us during that tie. I'd call it a fluke of our own making. This team as it is right now is all things considered a very hard team to beat, but also we would find it hard to win games against the best teams out there because we lack x-factor in our midfield.

I think that some people need to make peace with Inter being the only European force in Italy

a normal play maker wont work, heck then they might as well put cassano there imo
