Race of X Horses
Okay, I thought it might be interesting to see how the tables of the bigger leagues develop, especially in view of the top teams and how far the points are spread. Tables taken from kicker.de. I put the tables in spoilers so that one can look at the tables and compare them more easily.
England
Spain
Germany
Italy
France
Interestingly it is the PL where one team opened the biggest gap so far. The distance between teams 1-5 ranges from 5 points (Germany & Italy) to 12 (PL) and 13 (La Liga).

Re: Race of X Horses
So much for the Bundesliga being a 1 horse race
It's great to see that most leagues are competitive as hell. I know City is going to lose points at one point, and that Bayern will find it tough as hell with a thin squad mixed with CL football, but sadly La Liga is taking its usual shape What is it with no-ball Liga teams?

BTW, despite Van Buyten, it looks like Bayern currently has the best defense (5 goals against) just before Barca+Udinese (6 goals against).

Re: Race of X Horses
when city rised close to Madrid/barca level they also started walk their own league which makes all those old "la liga teams are getting beaten by madrid and barca very often" argument kinda dumb

dude, i think he was talking about the title contenders which is true if you look at it.. man city are on the level of rm and barca and they are cruising in the epl.. rm and barca do the same in la liga , its not that the other teams are bad
apart from that the overall competitiveness in the epl is very high but it s the same in la liga for the remaining 18 places

Between 3rd and 7th there is like 1 title contender which is Chelsea and they aint gonna beat city to it.

Title challengers are overrated, CL race is much better
