Should higuain start for Argentina?

no argentina has better strikers than higuain

It seems highly unlikely since Higuain has to fight for his place against Messi.
their front line will be something like that:

Di Maria - Messi - Aguero/Tevez

depends on what formation they want to play, and the current health.

higuain will no start.

for me tevez should start ahead of higuain he deserved :lol!:

well the post is located in General Discussion so anybody has a say on this but tevez in my opinion is better or aguero :lol!:

Start where? It's a 4-3-3, I don't doubt that Higuain can play on the sides but I believer there are better options for those positions. Between Lavezzi, Di Maria and Aguero they got those covered.

well this season he has been injured
he scores goals....
in a few appearances he has scored 7 goals...

Aguero, Lavezzi, Messi, Di Maria, Tevez all 'score goals', otherwise they wouldn't be called up for the NT.

its a 'no' for me.. if this was pre-injury it would be an obvious 'yes' but he has been injured all year, only made a few appearances for madrid in the latter part of the season and still has a lot of recovery to overcome.

Definately not, I want aguero-messi-tevez/di maria....Higuain is a good supersub since he is a pretty good poacher(not perfect but good). I hope milito gets axed because his form has been pretty woeful this season.

All in all, our frontline is not and never was a major problem. Our defense is the worst since because it is so shitty we have to play (almost) three DMs(Banega is kinda DMish) and not giving talent like Pastore a chance to start alongside banega.

We need good defenders. Hopefully Otamendi and Mussachio can provide that in the future

Hes a great player, but recently messi has been playing through the center, so he wold be competing with messi for the starting spot. On top of that, I rate messi, tevez, aguero, and lavezzi all ahead of him. My starting front line for argentina would look like this:

Lavezzi - Messi - Tevez/Aguero

With Pastore, Di Maria, and Higuain as backups. Alotof people might disagree with me about Lavezzi starting, but you guys need to take a few things into consideration:

-His striker partner, Cavani, was the 2nd highest scorer in serie a this season, with mostof the assists coming from lavezzi. Cavani has been getting so much credit, but the factis, without Lavezzi, Cavani would not be where he is.

-Hes the highest assister inthe serie a, and scored a decent amount of goals as well. Thats with Hamsik and Cavani next to him. Cavanis comparable to Tevez or Aguero, but Hamsik is nowhere near Messi. So consideringLavezzi was the maing attacking outlet for Napoli and got them into theChampions League, imagine what he could do paired with Messi and Tevez/Aguero up front.

This, against USA we created so many opportunities for someone to just tap in the ball, probably could have had like 6 goals at half time if we had a poacher up front.

They've had trouble scoring without him previously. Eventually, he'll be a starter again.

Higuian has a knack for being in the right place at the right time and that is exactly the type of player Argentina needs.

I think he deserves to be a starter in NT but this whole team is build so it supports Messi's style which means no Higuain in starting lineup. Argentina's midfield is IMO as little bit overkill and could be just as good with two from Mascherano, Cambiasso and Banega. I would lineup their attack like this
Di Maria and Lavezzi as supersubs.

It's a shame that Higuain didn't choose France. They could have a good use for someone like him. Higuain-Benzema combo would have been nice.

Benzema would have killed himself if higuain chose france.

Higuain still needs some conditioning and fitness after his injury, but I believe he can still get the job done for Argentina.

For those saying he can't play as a wide forward, I would remind you Higuain was a winger before he was a striker.

Why not? I think he can slot in at CF with Messi roaming behind.
