Re: Valencia singing Messi's name
i hate to point this out but this is ALWAYS what happens to teams coached by Mourinho!! He creates a seige mentality in the changing room, a us against everyone type attitude and this is what is returned from the opposition!
while madrid fans may outnumber barca fans about ten to one here on this forum, in Spain and elsewhere, the neutrals side with barca for two reasons, Mourinho and Ronaldo.
if you're going to act like they do, you will get abuse back, and the abuse that gets to ronaldo the most is by being reminded that theres someone better than him out there! he reacted to it the first time it happened and people saw so now itll happen everywhere he goes!

You clearly don't watch the portuguese NT. This has nothing to do with Mou tbh.
And ontopic: this was a bit sad, Valencia is not a small club, they should have sang Soldado's name, he really deserved it. Who knows, maybe he would have scored another if the fans had supported him instead of a rival player

Gotta say Miguel impressed me that match. Usually he's a disaster.Zealous wrote:I think the worst part was when they were chanting "He's Portuguese, he's a son of a b*tch" when Miguel had the ball :lol!:

Re: Valencia singing Messi's name
ronaldo is still a madrid player when playing for Portugal, and lets face it, when playing bosnia, the locals were always going to try get him mad regardless of whether they like messi or not!

Well they should have tried harder. Ronaldo ended up tasting their butthurt tears.

Re: Valencia singing Messi's name
If Messi were hanging out with his friends and one of them said "Ronaldo is the best", he would get angry and punch that guy in the shins...

You obviously don't speak spanish, cause otherwise you would have known that they sang "That portugese, he's a son of a whore". Which means that they were NOT saying that every portugese are sons of whore's, but just that specific one is..
If you don't know what they were singing or don't understand, then why would you even bring it up?

What do you think?
If you knew spanish you would have known that there was no chance that miguel would have thought that they were singing about him, which was what you where implying, hence there was no :lol!: moment

As far as chanting "Messi"... it just means that, even in the eyes of Valencia, there are only two true contenders in Spain. If Barca were playing, they would be chanting "Ronaldo".
It's a small club attitude by the fans.
any more insight on the psychology of people you've never met in your life?
they were chanting "messi" because people in valencia despise real madrid, simple as that
looking like a jersey shore reject doesn't exactly help you with opposition fans either...

Undeserved hatred, tbh. RM players are just gonna have to deal with it.
But like I said, it seems everyone doesn't like RM.

So they were only singing it when he had the ball? No..
He was implying that it was funny because valencia where chanting that when miguel, a portugese, had the ball so people/he could have thought that they were chanting that to their own player, when there is no chance that could happend seeing that chant is to a specific portugese, not to every portugese in the world
So yes I can read..

Why do you love madrid so much?
And alot of people hate real madrid because they are arrogant(something that people criticize about barca) and because they have gotten so many bad referee decision going in their favour(again, something that people criticize about barca).

To everyone saying "Valencia are now down to Pathetico status and lost tons of respect" I have to say you have lost tons of respect for using the term Pathetico when there are no Atletico fans here to respond to it.

Re: Valencia singing Messi's name
1) harhar seriously you trying to read my mind is amusing but for future notice try to avoid reading my mind. You're clearly not very good at it. I just thought it was a funny situation. Maradona>Messi explained well enough for you to understand it I suppose.
2) Che, U MAD, it's OK but Violencia played like the inferior team they themselves know they are
I find it hilarious that you hate "Ronaldive" when you have Jessica Alba on your team and guys like this played for you
3) Cosmico, I wish there were more Pathetico fans here, then maybe I could convince them how crap their fan base and players are
Yeah these guys deserve my respect.

Re: Valencia singing Messi's name
David Navarro is a shameless man. God I hate him, hated Valencia too when he was there. Still remember when he punched that Inter player, think it was Burdisso or something...
Please note, it wasn't really Valencia's fault that fight took place...

so the greatest team in the history of existence with jesus h. mourinho and a squad that cost 500 million euros to assemble could only beat an inferior team thanks to a bullshit penalty decision? you must be really proud
also i've always hated navarro, and marchena for that matter, but i understand that a madrid fan would never understand what it's like to not worship every player on your team
