Walcott was equally good today and Vermaelen was a beast at the back.. It was the team as a whole that made it happen.

Without RVp they wouldn't have anybody to finish though, thus why he keeps getting the goals and winning games by himself.

BTW, in answer, despite us having "impotent" strikers according to many, we're still in prime position to finish in the Top 4 unlike others who have seemingly WC strikers

Barcelona have players that can replace him (not to the same extend of course) and they have WC players surrounding him so it's hard to pin point their success directly to him.

Seriously though, we are seeing a fantastic player on form. Remins me of how rooney carried United in the 2009/10 season...a lot of people were calling United a 1 man team then too.

People make it sound like he's doing everything on his own, when he clearly isn't. If he were scoring Messi-esque goals; taking everybody on and producing God-like finishing then I'd more inclined to agree, but he's not.

This! People don't realize that he's not doing everything himself despite the fact he's scoring so many goals. He relies on the service that the midfield and the wingers provide him. If anything I'm praising him. If you want to compare lower money transfers outdoing higher money transfers then that's evident for both sides.
